It's really only the city that freaks out over snow, and its more about the inconvenience the snow causes than the snow it's self. I live out on the Island and we have people doing incredibly stupid things, like driving to a dinner in the middle of a blizzard with whiteout conditions because they didn't feel like cooking lunch.
