Winter Wonderland At The Off Grid Log Cabin - Snowstorm And Winter preparation

It’s a winter wonderland out here at the off grid log cabin. Every day we are getting small snowstorms. Just enough snow to have to clean off the panels everyday and keep the cabin nice and toasty. The preparation is still going on right into the winter. Snow or no snow we need to get the cabin stocked with firewood. #offgrid #offgridcabin #snow ~ www.instagram.... ~

hey Bo...cut some logs to raise your solar panels off the ground say 2 feet so the snow falling off or you brushing off doesnt pile up right in front of the panels keeping them clear to get full sun...of course secure them to the logs...slightly buried to keep them steady also..but try to keep snow in front of them long as possible thru the season as snow will reflect light up onto the panels ...never use mirrors to do that as they concentrate sun power too much on small section of panels and destroy them...

I hate to be that guy but: Alone in the woods with a chainsaw and chopping logs and no 🥽?!? Probably not the best idea. Also, I’ve always thought it best to have a wood chopping block when splitting wood to prevent the axe from hitting rocks in the soil. Sorry, just my .02
