That was a great pizza competition. Good job on everyone that competed. It was interesting to see what everyone put into their pizza’s. I really liked ingredients of Mateo’s sauce. I took away a great recipe there. The guy who won didn’t have a camera on him, so I can only imagine and say that it was a combo of ingredients that everyone loved. I always enjoy these vlogs of you hanging with your friends and enjoying a little cook off. Take care!

Mateo, I wanted to know what will happen if oil is added to homemade dough. This is what I found out from google. This doesn't sound bad. Maybe one day you can try it and give your reviews on this method. "Adding oil to homemade dough makes it softer, more pliable, and easier to work with by inhibiting gluten development, resulting in a tender crumb and preventing the dough from becoming too elastic; it also helps to create a barrier against moisture from toppings when baking, leading to a crispier crust, especially in pizza dough."

Looks like such a fun time every single year you guys meet up. I thought about stopping on my way back from Arizona. Several things stopped me. 1. I left Arizona to stop in Cali to see my Cousin and she had certain days she was available. 2. I understand the desert is especially crowded due to the fires in L.A. 3. I have never actually stayed in BLM land in Quartzsite, don't know anyone there, and am a little nervous to go as a single woman without my dog. Maybe next year....
