Good advice Tony, thank you. I used to fly light aircraft and one the preflight checks was to look for water in fuel due to condensation. I had never thought about this on a motorcycle. Will do now👍

This year I put a plastic bag over my exhaust end pipes on recommendation of another moto vlogger. It keeps the critters from making a home in your pipes over winter! Thanks

I will wrap steel wool in a cloth rag and stuff that in my tail pipe. Also put moth balls and rubber snakes on the ground around the bike cover. I'm on a farm and it is stored in a building with a dirt floor.

I remember when I was in Louisville during the winter months one year; it drove me nuts not to ride. Then one day I decided to ride anyway when was 28 outside. Needless to say, I paid for that for the following week and a half.

Got a windshield coming hopefully it will extend my riding season a little. Cold weather and me don’t mix very well. You riding by the ocean in your last video made me super jealous🤣😂.

Good video. I'm lucky, living in the South my winter mods are during fronts pushing through. I have paused an thought of all y'all froze up that can't get out. Hey bugs ain't as bad during winter 😂😂

I winterized mine today with a 300 mile ride through the backroads of KY and IN. I filled it up with gas now it’s ready to go next time. 24k miles again this year so far I’m hoping to hit the 25k before Jan 1.

Just winterized my 07 sportster 883 low last weekend. Spent a few hours cleaning, polishing and waxing the bike. Inflated the tires to a little more than the usual psi to avoid flat spots. Installed a battery tender pigtail. Just over 3oz of seafoam in the tank and filled it up. Changed engine/primary oil and filter. I just got the bike a few weeks ago and wasnt sure when fluids were last done so I did it for peace of mind. Bike only has 3k miles so its seen little use over the years. Might actually take it for a short ride tomorrow as its expected be about 56°. Back issues limit how long I can ride but I'll get a few miles and will be my last ride of the year and probably for a while.

If you're absolutely not gonna be riding, then I'd say get to whole bike of the ground with a jack. Just better for the tires long term.

Good tips thanks. Should you run the bike a bit to circulate the stabilizer or is it ok to just top off the tank with it?

One more question (sorry, I used to do all my riding in California, so winterizing for the Kentucky weather is new to me :)): Do you leave the battery on the bike while connected to the tender? My garage is not heated or climate controlled or whatever, and it will get cold out there. Better to bring the battery inside while on the tender?

Hi Tony from London England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 I have installed Harley-Davidson 18inch windshield on 2019 softail slim I have got 12inch harley Chizeled handlebars. I am having lot of head buffeting like proper head bashing. Any suggestions to get rid of buffeting I just can’t ride with windshield. Any suggestions or thoughts on that please share..Safe ride cheers

Yeah, I found the same thing with my 2018 Softail Slim. I wanted a windshield for a cross country trip but after I installed it there was no position I could put it that stopped the head buffeting. I went up and down the highway for about 2 hours trying to get it right. Not sure if it's something with the configuration with this bikes design but I eventually gave up and found it was better without the windshield. I'm sure Tony will find the same thing . Hopefully he knows something I don't.
