Thanks very much for these reviews, really appreciate it! Would be cool to see latency comparison between these. I wouldn’t go with battery powered device, because the only reason I want to get one of these is so I can keep my keyboard in one place, and quickly start playing without moving it or having to plug stuff in. I understand bt brings in a bit of extra latency, but not sure if that’s something that would bother me.

I have been using the Alesis Vortex midi 2 for a bit I believe it is some sort of midi Bluetooth, with an iPad mini running the iM1 app and while I like it I do get "stuck" on a note sometimes and have to quit the app. I have on.y been using it for rehearsals thus far and not for live gig because of that

IT WORKED! I bought the BM A01 and plugged in just the midi out. I disconnected the midi in and the little cable. It will not show up in the blue tooth settings of the iPad I't does show up in the midi settings of your app. I was using a very old MAudio Oxygen 49 that still has a midi out and a 4th generation IPad running SynthMaster Player and Korg iM1 it did not work in garage band. I did plug the oxygen 49 into power. I will try it with AUM, Nano Studio2 and Cubasis2. Soon

Thanks John Mike! I Love my Mi.1 I can plug it in and forget about it. The low profile means I can keep it in place even when putting my keyboard into its bag for travel to gigs. You didn't mention it, but the Mi.1 does have an indicator light FWIW. The MIDI Out plug must always be connected as it draws power from the MIDI port to run itself. The Puc+ seems like a hassle unless you really need the USB ports. Where are you going to put this puc when performing?? Dangling it off of the MIDI connector cables seems like a really bad idea. Leaving it on top of the keyboard seems like an invitation to disaster as it bounces around on top of your board as you perform. Then there's the battery...ugh!

One thing you didn’t mention: I think the whole reason the PUC has batteries is because it offers USB connectivity, and to have USB connectivity you need a power source. Many (probably most) USB MIDI keyboards on the market nowadays do NOT have their own power; they rely on power from the USB connection with the device. So the PUC has to solve that problem; they did it with batteries, which I think is a good way to do it since it provides portability and doesn’t add a power cable.

Can we use this for m-audio mk3 keystation 32 bcz its suck for traveller or portable if a product that have long wire (cable) its so anoying to carry in your pocket. For the reason why m-audio mk3 32key bcoz it is versatile and compact for portable / traveller musician that want a simple device and lite weight that easy to carry on into any places. M-audio should make a bluetooth function in their product bcoz this is new age no cable or wire anymore just like a dark age dude.

I disagree with you on the Yamaha vs the no brand. You can say they are the same, but Yamaha has very reliable internal build. You pay 26 bucks, because you get cheap parts inside. You get what you pay for. Don't judge a book by its cover. I have had Yamaha pedals, speakers, keyboards that have worked with no problems for many years. Besides, Yamaha is a very old company that does care about their reputation, vs. whatstheirname china company...lol
