Everyone argues about who's better Andy Powell's W.A or Martin Turner's... But to me the sound of either is lacking because Steve Upton was one hell of an original drummer and their new drummers do not have his groove or anything like it
@moochythecat3435 Жыл бұрын
Shame that the original lineup broke up in the early '70's... Like the break up of the Beatles...you can't duplicate the original lineup...

I have nothing but praise for this band. My friend and I... 1973 .. on our early 70's Les Paul's, would pick the turn table needle up and down so many times to learn our licks! I made a reostat for the turntable in electronics class to slow the turntable basically an octave down. I already had all the Beatles and Stones riffs down, but this brought me out of the dungeon. Then we played all the Wisconsin bars, backed up The Runaways, Head East, Dirty Tricks, Mitch Ryder, and many bands at Summerfest, State Fair etc. Looking back, this was the glue in my learning process! Thanks guys! If you know any Wishbone Ash, you basically will never suck as a guitar player! I went on to play all the greats! Thanks for the foundation!!

HA, my friend Rob was lucky enough to have a reel to reel. We picked a part (mostly him) every note by WA, back and forth, back and forth! We jammed most of "live Dates", every Saturday night!

Cosmic Jazz? First time I heard it I didn’t like it. But for all the MANY TIMES I’ve listened to it since the first time, I LOVEIT, CANT GET ENOUGH!!! Martin Turner was such a FOX back then, and even tho he’s older now, I still find myself very attracted to him. ❤😊❤

This band was very influential back in the 70s when I was in a fusion band. An under appreciated band by the masses, but not the people who know them well. More than just a classic rock band.
@LukasMatejka-du5hb Жыл бұрын
they were one of the biggest influences to Iron Maiden too...... Steve Harris took the twin-guitar idea from these guys...... those folk-y elements in Maiden's riffs are also influenced by these guys

Wishbone Ash one of my most most Loved Band.Turner brother did the magic in the band.The song 'Mother of Pearls' just Shook me off.Their inevitable Usage of a Typical Destortion Guitar Gadget made it more Rare & Unique.I just love and miss them from my Heart.
