I'm a Brit. I grew up with this music. My friends and I went to lots of shows in the early 1970s. Wishbone Ash, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Rolling Stones, King Crimson, ELP, Hawkwind, Mike Oldfield, Supertramp, Moody Blues, Yes, Roxy Music, Thin Lizzy... The list goes on and on. I can't begin to explain how happy it makes me to see that this music, that meant so much to us, still can transcend national and cultural boundaries and bring out such joy in your faces. You guys are more than just reactors, you are shining proof that we are all connected in ways we can't begin to understand. Bravo to you both. Your love and joy is infectious.

They are one of my favorites. The whole album is excellent. A great live band also.

To me, that last solo by Andy Powell is perhaps the greatest in modern rock. Like all of his solos, it is clearly structured, with a beginning, a middle and an end - so much better than the flurry of shredding with no feel or form that predominates today.

Wow, this takes me way back. I purchased my first stereo hi-fi back in 1970, and the first record I played on it was the eponymous first album by Wishbone Ash. After that I became a firm fan, and saw them live several times, including a gig in Leicester where a number from that concert was featured on Pilgrimage, their second album. The band are still playing live concerts, although guitarist Andy Powell is the only survivor from the original line up. Many thanks to you both, and whoever suggested this track to be played on your channel. I still have the first four albums, I will have to dig them out and start playing them again.

This song came from the album "Argus" which is one of the best albums in music history. Every song is a gem. Check out "Warrior" and "Throw Down the Sword." These 2 songs should be played together, back-to-back (Warrior first). The twin lead guitars on Throw Down the Sword will blow you away.

Yay I love Wishbone Ash. My parents are massive fans of theirs and saw them in the 70s and 80s (I was at my first Wishbone gig in 1985 before I was born haha Mum was pregnant and they went to see them) I’ve seen them a few times in recent years, not with the original line up but the guitarist is still going strong. And it makes me smile to see my parents still enjoying their music. Check out “Blowin Free” by Wishbone Ash from the same album as this song. You won’t be disappointed. Love the channel. Keep em coming. 😊

Wishbone Ash was one of my favorites back in the 70's when I first started really listening to lots of rock music, while in the US Air Force...thanks for choosing this one :)

You’re an adorable beautiful couple…I love watching your reaction to music…glad you’ve discovered Wishbone Ash…Sometime World is my favourite track by them, but the whole album Argus is terrific. May I recommend a new band to you called Camel, perhaps their most famous song is called Lady Fantasy from the album called Mirage, but you must listen to the original studio version off that album first, before listening to later live versions. They are still going after many lineup’s, but their first 5 albums made in the early 70’s are their best. If you have an hour space, listen to their concept album called the Snowgoose, but it must be the original one from the 70’s as they re-recorded it a few years ago, which is nice, but not the classic line up. The Snowgoose is music inspired by the beautiful short story of the same name by Paul Gallico and tells the story of a young girl who befriends a disabled man who lives in a lighthouse and has a sanctuary and heals wounded birds and together they befriend and heal a Snowgoose, but as well as being a beautiful story about their friendship and love of nature, it is told with the context of Dunkirk in World War 2 and the lighthouse keeper uses his boat to join those who sail to Dunkirk to rescue the soldiers on the beach. The album is all instrumental and very beautiful….but if you have to start with one track, start with Lady Fantasy off Mirage
