I don't see the 'ugly-fied' bit either. Way over-the-top. Yes, she looks a bit older. Which would... make sense? I do appreciate good-looking main characters in video-games, since it is escapism after all, but they don't all have to look like tweens. Her jaw-line is a bit different, I agree. Possibly, the slight re-design isn't an improvement, but I don't think it was done because of that silly notion that female characters in movies and video games shouldn't look too good.

Y didn't CDPR just stick to the Elder Blood story. Ciri is not and can't be a Witcher. To old for the trials and Females can't be Witchers.

actually its never stated in the books that is impossible for women to become witchers, they just dont do it for obvious reasons, the boys are just stronger, have a higher chance of surviving the trials and are better suited for the training and job, but ciri already went through all the training and the elder blood may have helped with that too. And is also never stated that there is a specific age to do it or else it wont work or they wont survive. But i don't judge people for being concerned with woke stuff these days, i just don't think this is it.
