The Witcher 3 has many sorceresses, one of which is the Nilfgaardian sorceress Fringillla Vigo, who once had a relationship with Geralt of Rivia. Many know of her through her association to the lodge of sorceresses and Phillipa Eilhart, but in the witcher books she actually had a relationship with the witcher Geralt. Today I will discuss her entire story throughout both the witcher books the witcher 3 and the witcher in general. There is a lot to say about Fringilla Vigo so I hope you enjoyed the extra long witcher 3 lore video!

My only problem with Vigo was that she was described as similar looking to Yenna, which would make sense later in the story of the books. But given how season 2 proved that the show is not a somewhat faithful adaptation of the books but more of a fanfiction come to life, I don't really care what they do with the caracthers. After all, they did stole some iconic Philippa lines and gave them to Tissaia this season 🤷‍♂️

Don't think Fringilla is Anna's cousin of the same generation since she is decades older than Anna. Toussaint is not actually a Nilfgaardian province but a neutral state locates within the conquered land of Nilfgaard. Toussaint nobles and royal families are tied to the royals and nobles in both Nilfgaard and the northern realms through intermarriagemes.

I can enjoy adaptations regardless, but the more faithful to the source material, the better. Interesting you automatically assume "everyone has to be white", if a character is originally conceived of in a certain way, then an adaptation that stays true to the original is in my opinion better. If they for instance cast a white actor to play Storm or Bishop in the X-Men, I'd say the same.

And while mentioning the show...just hearing u say dandelion made me angry!!!! I was so pissed when they changed his name on the show to jeskier....he has always been dandelion and i hope dandelion becomes a nickname he will aquire ASAP!!!! Hopefully within the 1st episode or 2 in next season....because he is DANDELION AND NOT JESKIER!!! Grrrrr!!!! Lol....

Jeremy Bird He’s Jeskier. It’s his original name (Polish) and was translated into English as “Dandelion” for the games. Jeskier means buttercup, so they decided to make him sound more manly by changing his name. 😒

The show is good (except for Triss), and the actress that plays Fringilla does a pretty good job, so I guess it's fine.. ppl who didn't read the books or played the games won't notice it of course, it doesn't detract to much from the overall good quality of the show.

So I see a lot of comments about Fringilla being BAEM on the Netflix series... we’ll a lot of people, yourself included Witcher George and pretty vocally have asked what point would it make from a story aspect...changing Ciri’s ethnicity when this was a big deal about a year ago. Well the same thing can be said / asked about Fringilla, no? Nobody asked this or made a big deal about her character being changed to a black women. At least I didn’t hear anything about it. But the same thing applies! Why as far as the story goes was this change important that they had to change this characters ethnicity other than a political agenda!?! It’s bullshit and I’m sick of characters being changed and writers drifting away from the source material and cannon because they have to satisfy some group of people and stroke and ego. GTFOH.
