It's difficult to take your advice seriously when you still have the worst designed, biggest failure of vehicle since the Delorean Dream on order. You placed an order for a truck with 600 miles of range, insane 0-60 times and all for $40,000. The Cyber Truck is a failure in every respect. It looks ridiculous, it cuts off fingers, it is too dangerous and sharp edged to be sold in Europe. It looks like a prop from Total Recall and is useless off road. Elon Fanboy? No other reason to buy such a poorly designed piece of crap
@typxxilps4 ай бұрын
Mercedes and all the other europeans have given up on ICE. a month ago there was a discussion the EU to postpone the 2035 sales stop of new ice to 2040 but all european manufacturers warned the EU about the consequences and that they can live with 2035. Why ? #1 they are already making profits due to battery prices that have come down 45% in 2 years #2 they need to phase out ice in a well planned manour cause the ice cars are becoming more expensive year by year cause demand has stalled and supplier like magna have closed their location in Cologne close to Ford with 200 employees #3 they already see that range will not be and issue in the future cause battery tech developes much faster than ICE in the past 30 years #4 they need to walk ahead before the chinese wave arrives and crushes them, they need to increase development speed cause otherwise they will be screwed like hell cause the chinese are currently selling their cars here for twice the price of that in CHina and they are at the level of VW - far too high. BYD is selling nothing in germany, just a few hundred car in the first quarter, mostly dealer cars the big three will dy sooner or later cause gm is not looking good in China, Ford is not fit and survives here by buying the VW platform for their own car called Ford Explorer which is an SUV EV . Only Chrysler has it easier cause they will get all the EV tech from the stellantis group. Ford and GM can only build trucks, trucks, trucks which they can not sell here cause here those are called Dinosaurs even by kids from the kindergarden pointing on the driver with a long stretched arm asking questions like Why are you destroying the planet with such a big car you do not need cause you are no farmer or carpenter? Mercedes AMG big 12 cylinder blocks like C63 all gone forever except you get used ones. now turbocharged 4 cylinders for a lot of money and without any heritage or must by factor. Game over cause the european industry had the chance to postpone it due to the stupid german party of the liberals who are simply paid by lobbyists and did not get it right, cause the car industry has stopped the discussion silently by letting the EU know, that they are ready and that there is no way back. We are getting the grid (utility backbone) and charging net, we built each year solar power and off shore farms that equal 6 nuclear power plants (where we luckily have no longer one working with all the garbage discussion where to store that) and therefore we are moving ahead independent from oil and gas, houses are now heated by heatpumps and oil and gas heaters are forbidden from 2045 onwards. Come visit germany, check the high sea around Helgoland island and hundreds of offshore windturbines , visit medieval cities like Rothenburg ob der Tauber where even McDonalds is not allowed to use their sign, only a medieval one from the blacksmith, then Heidelberg with its oldest universities and of cause heading Stuttgart you come along Audi (Heilbronn plant), before you reach Stuttgart home of Porsche, Bosch and Mercedes and 30 km outside AMG in Affalterbach, home of Hans Werner Aufrecht, founder of AMG. Lot is changing here quite fast - and of cause Munich is 220 km away really close to the alps which you can see on a sunny day from the munich highway, not to mention eagles crest. Only VW is here in the north, lower saxony, the biggest manufacturer with a lot of plants across the lower saxony, which had made the biggest leap from close to bankrupcy in 1992/93 under Piech, grandson of Ferdinand Porsche and the mastermind of the platform strategy and all the brands. But we have a stronger climate, frisian tart as the beer we brew here, but just 200 km to Hamburg and the offshore windparks. If you wanna understand what is really going on and why the german car industry will come back then it is time to explore the country where the car had been invented. Good luck !

In general I think the lack of milage, small amount of charging stations and how long it takes to charge....is just crazy to want one. The biggest issue is the EV that are catching fire in peoples garages and the fire departments can't get them out. Also the toxic mess they make after a fire. Fire departments have to carry a booklet of where to add the water on each model. They also have to wear hazmat suits on an EV call.

My friend bought one of the first Fisker's that came to Norway. Don't know if he still has it, but I never see him in it anyway. That trick of selling a lemon to someone and washing your hands off it, won't work in Norway. Consumer laws are too strong and you will have to return the money and take the car back, if there are any major problems with it, that you didn't tell the buyer up front. Same with houses, we are selling a property and had to pay for a very thorough report on it, so the buyer can see all that is needed on it. Maybe Toyota has the right idea. Electric hybrid is the logical stepping stone to electrified cars while we wait for advances and maturity of new battery tech and construction materials to slim down the lbs on theses batteries. Also American infrastructure moves slow like a massive aircraft carrier, and we’re being compared to Norway which is smaller than The greater Los Angeles area in population density. Norway is a speed boat, US is a cruise ship/aircraft carrier. I stood next to the Ionic 5 at my local dealer, she looks good, but man is she a big gal, roughly measured it next to my ‘20 Corolla 6mt, the 5 is about 6 inches bigger on all dimensions, plus it has 20 inch wheels, what is this midnight club dub edition?!? The Ionic 5 looks sweet but seeing the size of the regular one, and seeing that the n gets 21 inch wheels left an empty feeling inside, this may not be the direction for enthusiast electric cars. I know everyone complain of the lack of soul and sound, but I get that same feeling when I drive my Corolla, to start having fun you’re already breaking the law and I just feel bubble wrapped most of the times. But then it hit me, I longboard and that is engaging and thrilling, yet it has no engine noise. It might be a lack of driver engagement that is missing nowadays. Autonomous cars might be the future for 90 percent of the populous, but us enthusiasts appreciate driver engagement, we like feeling it’s an extension of our bodies and abilities, like we’re active participant in the experience. It’s like driving a lotus 7/mx-5/motorcycle, rider and horse are one, but modern cars/autonomous transportation feels closer to riding public transportation/riding the bus, and unfortunately the sporty one might feel like riding roller coaster instead of piloting a plane. lol long as rant, good luck with the Karma, hopefully she’s got a heart of gold, and isn’t too high maintenance!

So, why don’t they sell ‘em? Very simple, people aren’t as stupid as they think. The main players in the automotive world have been part of the con from the start. Since the EV idea started, they’ve been ramming it down our throats that lithiums and cobalts and nickels, together with their oxides, phosphates and titanates as with all the mumbo jumbo required to confuse the general public into thinking that batteries are soooo expensive. Sure, mining is expensive, so is drilling for oil. It’s just that if you sell lots of it the cost ratio drops considerably. To add insult to injury THESE THINGS HAVE NO ENGINE AND NO GEARBOX, the two big-budget outlays in the industry. On the back of this, combustion engined cars have seen their prices steadily and artificially increased well beyond inflation rates to “match” the EV’s. And so we have it. The traditional affordable model which until relatively recently was selling for twelve thousand, and its electric counterpart priced at double - remember: same chassis, no engine, no gearbox - then the former pushed to twenty and the electric model, which should cost half, i.e. six, is a “bargain at “only” twenty two. If ever there were a modern version of the emperor’s new clothes, this is it.

VINFAST are great cars! They are driven everywhere in Vietnam. No idea why there is so much hate for them here. But that is the USA. Hate stuff from other countries first then love them. Ie. Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Kia etc. etc.

Well, its compared to everything else we've got here they just aren't up to par for our average use and demands. From what I hear its quality control and ride quality issues, which for the price there are a lot more competitive options

The channel Donut did 2 reviews of it. Go watch that and you will see they are not ready for prime time.

If Nelix is still acting weird after a few weeks try a different coler (?) on her, just a simple one. It might be the electrics that is causing the issue.

The problem is: EVs are basically the automotive equivalent of smartphones. Outdated quickly, battery overheating & degradation issues, completely reliant on software (which can brick them overnight), parts and repair very questionable, second market value basically zero. They are throwaway items, that nearly “anybody” can build. That’s why China had 447 EV manufacturers 1 year ago…now its 43. And even those operate with losses, only surviving due to massive subventions (~US$ 4 billion per year). Nearly nobody really wants them, because you can’t properly them! The manufacturer’s overreach has to also be mentioned: I’ve seen cars that didn’t start anymore, because the owner hadn’t done the monthly payment on time! In China cars stopped working, when they traveled to an area with protests going on. Etc. Great, fun & entertaining video!! Best wishes ❤

Fisker was half baked to begin with but EVs are doing well. R&D takes big money but companies like Tesla have proven that once you get to scale it can be very profitable. EVs will sell around 40% more this year in the US than last year, with dozens of new models coming out. The idea that its some kind of fad is ridiculous. Maybe in Kansas its just starting but go to Texas and see how much it's "just a fad".

Tesla will probably lose money this year. 50/50 they even exist in five years.

@@sburns2421 50/50 GM even exists in 5 years, not Tesla. Tesla is going to be the most profitable automaker on the planet next to BYD.

@@Aegisx5 They have only turned a profit since 2020, and made money of consequence '21-23. This is with questionable accounting and the ability to sell off stock to raise cash. The latter may now have stopped as the stock price has crashed. But they will still continue to burn through cash at an alarming rate. Musk is so polarizing I doubt anyone would save him in a bail out, or how he remains at the head if a true financial crunch happens at Tesla. Very conceivable he is booted from running his own company as the only way to save it. But then to the Tesla faithful, is it really a Tesla if the autistic South African isn't running the show?
