In this lore, this Monomasa is not an actual Monomasa. Technically the current Monomasa that now in the story is the kaiju name Drovain that possesing monomasa by real monomasa permission himself and Drovain using his name until now.

Yes, the Kaibutsu Drovain is the one who interacts with the player. They can switch at times but Monomasa Oosato has no interest in living so he'll almost never take over.
