Sending him a greetings from Germany. One of my good tamil friend here in Germany told me he also never been in south part of Srilanka, he is almost visit here After nastic war as a child. Because his dad worked for tamil newspaper, he ought to exil. My friend asked me to Show him south because i was born as a sinhalese. And he wanted to Show me North up to Pallali where his roots are. We both are germans. Without any ethical Problems sometimes we are going for hangouts and drinks. Most of the time my good tamil friend invited me. Please Srilankans think twice we are the Generation with that much understanding. Never let separate people for political propergandas. We all love our motherland and together we are strong.

Your English is not coherent! The ethnic problem in Sri Lanka is not that simple as you envisage but intermingled with poor socioeconomic problems, limited lands and resources, limited money to implement 3 language policy , currupt communal politics and bad attitude s, for example Tamils and Muslims are not interested in learning majority language while when they heave gone to Germany they have no problem in learning German language! The people in the North were kept ignorant by the politicians and those who were trying to keep the religion based caste system continuing in their part of SL. The only way to improve the living conditions of the general public is to educate them. A good education opens the mind. All SL Tamils in the Jaffna peninsula should get proper schools and a broad based education. Let those who are considered low caste , into the education system. Let them go abroad. Let those who’ve done well in Canada help their brethren in their Mother Land. Life is too short to suffer. Tamils are hard working people. They’re very ambitious for the welfare of their children. All false propaganda done by the previous politicians and the present day politicians, against those in the rest of the island, should be wiped out ,ignored. Let the younger educated ones who live abroad,contribute to their kith and kin in Jaffna. Let them flourish. Keep drugs out of the reach of the young Jaffna Tamils. Education, education,that’s the only way out of suffering. Jobs should be available for everybody, no caste based job privileges. Despite the 30 year struggle, those Tamils living among the Sinhala people are doing well. Their children get a good education. They live and work happily, out of Jaffna. Good wishes to those Tamil brethren who live abroad and are doing well. 💐

@D Abey Religion should take back seat or no seat! All clergies should confine to their monasteries. They should not come out and tell the government that, how the country should be governed. In order to do that, the best and intellectual people should be in the parliament. Furthermore, not only for the Tamils, we need to improve the standed of living of all Srilankans. I belong to the world community of the human race. So I use English as my first language . The greatest crime done in SL was the 1958 change of language policy. According to recent history, someone who was craving to be the Prime Minister, joined with the Buddhist clergy and created the Swabhasha policy. The stupid Sinhala majority voted him in. Within the following 20 years, SL education system deteriorated. The educated left the country. There was the biggest brain drain in SL. Now, everybody wants the English language to further their careers and job opportunities abroad. The British gave the SL population a good education system. Since the SL majority took over, it has been a racist, divided SL. The 30 year struggle took SL back about 30 years. I’m happy for those who left the country,during the past 60 years. I think the Tamils who are abroad should help those underprivileged in Jaffna. They can invest in businesses there. Help improve the agriculture and fisheries industries. I lead an easy trouble free life with my broad minded look. Religions,race etc divide people. This is the 21st Century. It’s time to get rid of superstition. As you said the clergy should stay in their ashrams and monasteries. Thanks again.💐💐
