I Had Covid 2x But Withdrawing From Pain Killers Is Next Level Hell To Deal With

Nobody believes me when I tell them I was taking 2000mg of oxy a day at my worst and once I had to do a sudden WD from that and by day 4 I was admitted to hospital so I think you really could die from oxy WD if it's bad enough. People think i'm lying about the dose (particularly people from the US) but they forget the price here in England is very different. I once paid £50 for a carrier bag with at least 100 x 80mg tablets in it.

One way I describe it as my bones are trying to grow out of my body but that doesn't do it justice. I think tooth pain is probably the most annoying pain ever, but I will take that any day. I have met some people that don't get as sick as I do. They are the "flu" people. I am not. I am unable to exist while dope sick. Also, Chris, that anxiety of "about to get well' is common. The closer I get to my dealer the worse it got. Then when I would get it, the drive home was horrible cuz I didn't use on the streets and I was puking out my window or in a cup all the way home. And covid is nothing at all. And the miracle of opiates is as horrific as we feel, it is over and totally forgotten about ....until next time, which always comes. Good video Chris!!

Let me add that as bad as withdrawals are, you would think we would save more than a "rinse" for the morning so we don't go through it. All I can say is our brains suck when in active addiction

the cycle gets exhausting! whether you have money or not, it becomes a full time job. hiding, buying, using, lying. getting off benzos was brutal. felt like my brain was short circuiting at times, panic attacks, trembling, the overwhelming emotions. @@-DexterMorgan- Yes mate, it makes total sense. I forget what i'm saying half way through, have complete personality change, can't remember things, my mind will just go blank when talking to someone for no reason and then i'll have a panic attack - again for no apparent reason. Recently i've been getting itchy when i take them which I think is histamine release (according to my research anyway). I'm worried about long term brain damage more than anything.

@@silverbullet2008bb I was a heavy user for 5 years like 8 years ago. takes a while but I’ve recovered. I have a bad memory, don’t find a ton of joy in things, but generally I feel great and normal I guess. the longer we use the worse the long term damage is.. as much as I loved benzos, couldn’t pay me to take them now. I think taken properly at super low doses (1/2 mg a day) or something is no biggie. but I’m no Dr 😜 I’ll pray for you tapering off is how to do it! they tapered me quick in rehab, 3 days. if you’re on your own and have the control to taper yourself over the course of a month or 2 or 3 THATS the way my friend

It (IV Heroin Withdrawal )will leave you wondering about that whole "Reaping what you sow " type of iconography ...that´s for sure. Took me a while before I could appreciate the beauty of it all. How Proportionate and Pure the whole process is if you will. Anyways ...stick with Chris´s quite accurate description ,since I´ve apparently decided to turn the whole darn thing into a Philosophy class 😂. Great video btw!

This comment makes me wonder if you're one of the people that just feel "flu withdrawal'. I have never felt like "well I deserve to feel this way so ooh well". Although I do believe in karma, it never hit me while dope sick. The feeling is too overwhelming for my monkey brain to get all Plato and shit.

@@saraivatoledo1842I just meant when I am going through withdrawal it is all consuming and there is no place for introspect. I am either trying to figure out how to get well or trying to figure out how to get well. Now once I'm "better" I get that there may be something poetic about it all but def not while sick. And I wasn't trying to insult you. Some people just don't get as sick as others. I knew a few people that would feel the 'flu" systems and be able to just sleep it off for a few days, but that definitely is not me.

When you have the flu you know there’s nothing you can do to fix it. When you have withdrawals you have 1 thought and only one thought - I can make this hell go away SO easily with just one bag/shot/pill But for me I can handle all the “flu-like” symptoms. It’s the RLS and insomnia I can’t deal with. Because as a father of 2 young kids if I don’t sleep then I can’t function. I can’t do anything. And it’s heartbreaking when your 3 year old princess is sitting there watching you saying “what’s wrong daddy? How can I help you feel better daddy” 😭 ….. can you run your 3 your old ass down to the dopeman and score for daddy lol. But I’m a bit different from you in 1 regard. Once it’s in my hand. Hell - once I’m even sure it’s coming (like as soon as I see the dealer’s car) I immediately feel 80% better. Shows how much control out mind has over the body

Really glad to hear you have never experienced benzo withdrawal bro! I have gone through benzo and opiate withdrawals simultaneously multiple times completely/mostly alone. The benzos themselves fucks ur sleep so bad it have taken me two whole weeks after cold turkey to get the sleep somewhat back to normal again. The opioid withdrawals I've went through, must be 100+ times now. It's real important to understand that there are 100s of levels to these withdrawals. So it can defenitely be somewhat like the flu if the withdrawals are mild.

What can I do to feel like I’m not just letting her kill herself

Depends on how bad your habit is. Cold turkey, definitely hell for at least a week sometimes more, then you have the post withdrawal that can last a few weeks after. With subs, you can be sick for up to a month
