I think in games, especially vr games, sometimes having an amazing experience without really any gameplay aspects is ok. Its being able to escape into another beautiful world for a bit and get away from reality and thats why im buying Subside on day one.

The escapism factor of VR is not to be underestimated. There are lots of us out there who just want to chill somewhere else. I mean lots of people pick the sunset time of day to go for a walk because they like how the world looks in the evening, why wouldn't people want something that satisfies those needs inside VR? I sometimes set VTOL VR to evening and hop in my plane and just fly around and enjoy the sunset. Not everything needs to have deep gameplay, sometimes just being there and enjoying my time is great. Sometimes I specifically don't really want gameplay.

@bxile730 Totally agree, I wish psvr2 had a lot more experiences as well as games. I'd love to visit places around the world etc in VR.

Bought trombone champ to support the Flat2VR devs and because it looked good fun. Not sure how long I'll find it amusing for, but was laughimg my head off playing it for the first time and looking forward to playing it some more.

I didn't end up getting LT, same as I didn't get loads of other games I still want - but man, it looks right up my street and this news gives me new incentive to grab it very soon and dive in.

BJ from Urban Wolf was like “NEVER META, NEVER!” Meta was punitive in their negotiations because Legendary Tales got media traction on PSVR2.

Great show as always. BTW I just tried Trombone Champ for the first time this evening. AJ really needs to give it a try - that is one incredibly polished game. It's hard to pin down.. but it feels SO solid, SO crisp, so completely free from even hint of jank. And the haptics, even on the menus just feel really weighty. Everything just feels physically solid and the trombone looks so responsive in your hands. It might actually be the most polished VR game I've ever played, to be honest. And it's arguably the crispest visuals. If they can bring this level of finesse to the other titles they're working on... holy sh*t. Gameplay-wise, I had quite a lot of fun with my first half an hour (it's late so had to call it a night). I think I need to get used to the triggers / buttons for actually making a noise as it was pretty exhausting, but the playing of notes with the slider felt... again... really f**king polished. I'm looking forward to playing some more and going for some S rankings. I also noticed Myles all over the leaderboards. Those scores are gonna take some beating!

I recently saw that Arcade Legends representatives say that they will be adding/working on some DLC additions for the game, releasing at some point. 👏 Also Monstercat mix tape vol. 2 has been out earlier this month and I think you missed it.

Strange the way meta keep saying 20 mil sold but that's across past platforms of quest. We don't keep on saying PS4 and Wii sold over 100 mill, it's in the past the active user base moves on.

Subside has really good reviews on steam but people do say it’s an “experience”. Whatever happened to that titanic horror game that was supposed to come out? It looked really bizarre but cool.

Forever Blue on the nintendo wii was and still is an amazing under water adventure game, a game like that would be so cool in VR.

Blows my mind that the Legendary Tales dev spent 7 months on a port and threw all that work in the trash because Meta gave them a bad deal.. It could not possibly have been worse than just having 7 months thrown straight into the trash.. I also think Meta probably saw that and thought "wow, they've really screwed themselves with this... We can squeeze them pretty hard." Don't start porting until the bill for dev cost is settled ffs... They should have spent all that time doing DLC instead and just waiting to see if Meta comes up with some money. Literally 7 months of work into the trash. Standing up for your principles after you've already sunk a lot of money into something is a hell of a position to be in. It's a respectable thing, but it's layered on top of dumb decisions. The deal should have been settled before they started work. Lesson learned, I hope.

The bigger picture might have been to hurt them on purpose, business can be super dirty. Think about how they just caused zero devolpment for another company that could have been working on improving a competitors game instead. i hope it wasnt that dirty, but its something to think about. Also could just be a barginning tool to get a cheaper deal. we may never know, i hope UrbanWolf can pull through, i would buy any expansion pack they make for Legendary tales to support their valient effort, on the one condition tho. They patch in a COOL goblin, or even a beautiful damsel to rescue on that first tutorial level. That baby goblin thing was so bad i almost QUIT right there lol. That goblin was so horrid it Looked like a ten year old artist drew it. ;) 😂 ..Please patch that first rescue Urbanwolf, that should not be the first thing players see. lol

1:31:50 sec - WTH?? This game ia legend and would have done EPIC on Meta. It best Blade and Sorcery in combat mecanics hands down. Its the best fighting games sword and shield outthere in VR PERIOD.

Anyone else in the UK seen the news everywhere that quest 3 is 150 off for black friday? Isn't it a permanent price drop since the 3s came out? It's annoying me so much as I was hopeful for a bit more off. Bit annoying that psvr has less publicity on their real black friday deal than the fake reduction of quest 3.

i think you just survive the wilds. no clue really but thats the vibe i get from the trailers. like dont drown finding treasures, or get spotted or eaten by sharks. Or dont get smashed on the rocks finding a secret cave in high waves. lol i hope it has those types of features too. i know what you mean tho. :)
