For clarification, because Katie had recently had puppies, we searched all over for them and did not take her inside for a couple of weeks just to make sure she wasn't still nursing them somewhere hidden. It became quickly evident that they were not around, as her milk began drying up the more time that passed. I didn't want anyone misunderstanding and thinking that wasn't accounted for as we decided to take care of her.

Our 16 yr old Italian greyhound passed away in March. The next day a cat showed up, by nightfall 2 pittbulls, by the end of the week a pig....no owners found and I still have all them. 🖤🖤🖤

I’m a firm believer that God sends what is needed. Katie may be just the blessing Ben needs to adjust to a new location, a new school and new friends. A rescued dog KNOWS they are rescued and they rescue you right back.

Why you making me bawl?! 😭😭😭 So so true. Two weeks before we lost our family dog of 11 years a little black puppy magically appeared in our yard. No one in the entire neighborhood knew where he came from. He was a gift from God. A distraction from our pain. He always knows ❤️

That’s how we acquired our cat. When we first moved in she just showed up and wouldn’t leave. She attached herself to my 1 yr old and was always with him when we were outside. She would crawl in the play pen and cuddle with him. She never hurt him even though he would stumble and fall on her. My boy is now 15 and she is still with us❤️

Whatever happened to Katie's puppies is sad but my heart is joyous that y'all took her in. Katie is one of the lucky ones who now is loved and cared for, forever. Too many videos of folks just keeping a lost dog without speaking with neighbors, vet, local shelter etc. You always have wise advice! I care for strays too. A visit to the vet to get them fixed, vaccinations & their ear tagged or clipped at the tip. This tells animal control the strays can’t populate. The strays are happy outside & I don’t have issues with vermin on my property. They are a blessing to me. Katie is adorably attached to Benjamin & that’s beautiful.
