The trauma & emotional burden he's carrying is something I see all the time. Now having to testify this poor man not only already has trauma written all over his face from this, but now will fear for his safety and his life/ his loved ones lives, all because they wanted him to take the stand. :( I think for cases like these, they need to have witnesses speak/talk/take the stand and have both parties question him/ interrogate or whatever you call it, getting his testimony BUT without the KILLER IN THE ROOM who is able to identify this innocent man.
@CarrieAnn77
@CarrieAnn77 8 ай бұрын
Unfortunately there's no way to do that. Because in the Constitution of the United States you have the right to face your accuser. So, that's why the witness protection program was created. Especially during like the RICO Act and when people were testifying against mob bosses and whatnot. However, it's still unfair.. because you take the stand to help out the state and you lose your entire life. And in some cases people wanted that. But in cases like this witness protection isn't even afforded to these people. It's usually only in federal cases. And these kids probably wouldn't want that anyways. Because what they have and the only life they know would then be taken away again. And they're also doing time so they're in prison anyways. At least in most of these cases. They don't get off scott free for testifying. So testifying and doing the right thing is also a lose-lose situation for a lot of these people. And it's sad. There should be another way. Especially when it's people this young that make awful decisions but they came from awful situations to begin with.

@@JudahsAwakeningthese are learned and influenced behaviors. You have to read the whole book to truly understand why these kids are making the mistakes they are. Until then, you will make your shallow and biased comments instead of offering anything constructive. These kids and even adults are born in situations and circumstances that like myself, I’m betting you have never faced. This even applies to the “mad man” himself. I’d give one of my lungs to help the two victims that survived-because that is honestly what they are in this entire nightmare: victims-and the justice system made them pay the price for being the victims of coercion and intimidation tactics by the actual killer. They were framed to make them complicit in the crime and to give the actual killer leverage over them if things went South. The system noticed that these misguided and easily-manipulated youngins were all “friends” with each other for lesser criminal activities and decided it was fitting to label these 2 victims on an equal category as a psychopathic narcissistic manipulative gangster hitman/serial killer/child killer.

She’s a previous gang member herself and influenced her sons to be apart of the same life she was living. Shes not innocent and should be on trial just as much as Brice, they questioned the other boy on the stand about a phone call he overheard between Brice and Elizabeth Marie wren, that call wasn’t about the boys being involved in the shooting but that Brice didn’t break them off the cut he told them he would.
