Hello Sir! First of all, I must thank you for your videos on KZbin. The way you teach is really excellent! I had one doubt in the above problem. When you took the first scenario, you considered that if L is the largest side, then x can take values upto 12. So, using the same logic, when x is the longest side, cant it take values starting from 12 and not 13? As in even if x is the longest side, it can still be 12 right? I am a little confused here.

Hi Natasha, We have already considered that scenario (of 10, 12, 12 triangle) in case 1 itself when we assumed the longest side as 12. If again in case 2 we consider one of the values of 'x' as 12, then we would be simply repeating the same triangle (i.e., 10, 12, 12 triangle) again. We are required to find triangles with unique dimensions. So we are considering values for 'x' starting from 13 and not from 12 in case 2. Best wishes for your GMAT Prep!

Hello Chandra Sekhar, does this question have any constraints? For eg: the other side is an integer or is the triangle isosceles?
