The only spell I disagree with is the leafstorm looking one... NO ONE CARES ABOUT THE AOE LIFE HIT FOR A BALANCE THAT HAS AOE'S PACKED FOR PVE ... I actually think its good for an aoe in raid and pve advanced combat settings but it's not meant to be a pvp spell imo. I think it deserves a C or D tier.

Magmaman only a? That’s a 1110 damage triple frostbite, 5 weakness clear for a additional ot and a instant Bernie setup for only 6 pips 😂. I understand ice already has weakness counters, but this spell is a broken weakness counter that breaks shields for 5 rounds it’s still worth using. That’s a s tier spell for sure.

my balance has a big lean on fire spells, so I can definitely apreciate some of the stuff there, but I also use a small mix of storm and ice on balance too, just I'm heavier in fire.

The argument of Poisonous Toad can be used entirely for Green Blight: if I want to counter Traps, which 3 schools use, I wouldn't do it into Weaknesses, which 2 of the 3 users also counter. This being said, I'd rather see Pyre Dragon being a fusion between Skeletal Dragon and Immolate. It would probably be a 5 or 6pip counter, and would be either (1) a trap counter for Blades, which is a better case than Green Blight (only 1 of the trap users also counter blades); or (2) a blade counter into dots, which is surely less interesting but would be useful vs their worst matchup against Myths as a cheaper blade counter into offense.

Good analysis honestly, green blight would only be good into fire and not that great into myth, that said with life you gain dot counters and you can still leverage the weaknesses. I don't see this spell being that useful vs myth or ice but that said we are probably going to be seeing other schools become more trap heavy like death mirrors where some deaths would use myth fusion for traps or potentially balance turning weaknesses into traps, or echoing traps into traps. So I can see the justification for using green blight especially since you can instead centaur and blade gambit. It's lowkey goated basically.

The only reason I’m more of a fan of pyre dragon than joltergeist is because I could see myself packing Helephant and Skeletal Dragon but not red ghost and kraken. (Plus shield clearing is more useful in someone who does PvE like me though I’m interested in PvP)

Haven’t played Wiz in a hot minute (and only talking about PvP). But, with all these added spells, do we need bigger deck sizes? Or am I just being a little overwhelmed because it’s been a while? I’m just over here thinking that people are going to have some tough choices on what to pack.

Maybe i'm not understanding this correctly, but doesn't the damage of the spell fused spells not matter too much? Because didn't KI change the advanced mode damage stats s.t. if you tried dual schooling, your dpp for that school would never be greater than your dpp for your own school? like wouldn't that in itself not make the damage on the cards itself matter too much? Like I know that spell fusion do get extra damage on them, but I think that when choosing which weave school I want, the utility would matter more to me than the damage of the spell itself.

I think what they should do is make the next tier of spell weaving be solid PVE aoe hits. Give a big reason for both pvp and pve players to weave as right now it favors pvp players more

those spells are school restricted. living helephant, is based on the helephant fire spell, so it's a spell for fire school only.

If by "train their own spells" im assuming you mean life train the life weave spells, which would never ever happen and even be counterproductive as youd have to train so many random schools to even use the fusions. Spell weaving is meant to make people use secondary schools, not just stick to a single one.
