LL16 has more mid focus w/o loosing the low end frequencies. Both models sound excellent. Just a matter of preference and what you like. Nice presentation. 🎧

Always great comparisons. Gotta say I liked the 16 better. The 26 is beautiful but a little smooth and flat in the top end for me.

I liked the 16 to. Its weird because there's a LL26 second hand mint at a good price but I think I rather the 16 from this video. Its a blind buy on the LL26 £1280 with 30 day send back. There is also a LL16 for sale for £500

16은 전에 가지고 있던 기타였는데 소리는 너무 크고 좋았지만 날카로운 소리가 살짝 거슬렸었는데 26은 확실히 날카로운 소리가 부드러워졌네요. 이러한 차이로 가격이 두배 정도 난다는건 구매자한텐 숙제겠지요. 한동안 26을 구매하려 중고 장터에 매복을 했지만 매물이 없네요.ㅡㅡ

I got the LL16D. The comparison doesn't clarify that the LL16 has a urea nut and saddle. The LL26 is bone for both. The LL16 is built in China but under Japanese luthier supervision. I had a luthier put in bone on the LL16D and when he called me to say it was ready he called the upgraded guitar "a beast". I also added buffalo horn pins. I then got the LL16M and kept the urea on both ends at it made the tone very crisp which I liked as my other mahogany b&s dreads have the more typical warmth. I did upgrade to buffalo horn pins on the LL16M too.

The LL16 was brighter or crisper, the LL26 had bit more warmth to it. Both sounded good, last Yamaha I played was affordable one, and the nut width seemed too small

LL26 is warmer... strangely the LL16 sounds brighter... most people pay top dollar for Adirondack to get brighter tones outta Rosewood with big bass. They both sound really good to me

@landocalrissian5180 I know, I never said it was Adirondack. It's Engleman but the sound profile has a similar sound to an Adirondack on this example in my opinion

For those who say the LL26 sounds better than the LL16, please know and acknowledge that the guitar is more expensive about 3-4 times. Also, it is a Japan-made quality guitar while the LL16 a China-made.

LL16 built in China, LL26 built in Japan, both under quality standards of Yamaha. Both share best woods, best wood cutting techniques (important!) and craftmanship. Instead of comparing tones we should compare wages payed for Chinese and Japanese workers, just my two cents ...

I A LOVE Yamaha I HAVE A LL16D SOUND BETTER THEN SOME MORE EXPENSIVE AMERICAN MADE BUT YOU LOVE THE LABEL....AND LL16 BASS ARE AMAZING....YOU KNOW GIBSON? WHEN YOU RECORD ONE OF THESE GUITARS ENGINEER CUT THE BASS IN GENERAL YAMAHA IS EQUILIBRATE... SO IN GENERAL YAMAHA IS underrated.... About china made....some acoustic fron china are Amazing ....but evrything come from America....also if It Is merd .....don't look labels .,..china craft man work Is 90% made by hand and good....so why mast a Yamaha made in china not good as a japanese?
