Garth Brooks is the reason I love country music today. I never listened to country music; had no desire to; just knew I wouldn't care for it until I heard Garth. Shortly after my first hearing of Garth singing, I went to see him in concert. It was amazing. Myself, my husband and my son all went to the concert. We spent every last cent we had to buy the tickets. We couldn't even afford sodas at the concert. My husband and song enjoyed some free relish packets (gross). All that said, incredible concert, absolutely incredible.

THE MAN of country! I heard he even out-sold the Beatles (don’t know that for sure, but it wouldn’t surprise me). I had the privilege of seeing him at a live concert …. Good Lord, the energy and entertainment! When he did THIS song, the audience drummed their feet at “thunder rolls” breaks, and the entire Civic Center shook and growled like thunder. You have to listen to more. I would recommend just about anything, but “Rodeo” and “The Dance” are two of my favorites, but you MUST have heard “Friends in Low Places”. Sadly, (for his fans), he retired and now devotes his time to his family life. Married to Trisha Yearwood, who can blame him. Occasionally you can catch a glimpse of him on her cooking show, but no singing.
