Y'all young bucks making me feel real old right now, sleepin' on Jane Child! This woman was PHENOMENAL, from the moment the debut album dropped in `89, and watching her blow up in `90/`91 with Don't Wanna Fall in Love and Welcome to the Real World. IDWTFIL capitalized on the New Jack Swing beat that was popular of the time. She wrote, produced, and played EVERYTHING you hear, and was once likened as the "female Prince". I really loved the entire self-titled debut album and the esoteric 1993 followup, Here Not There - despite the fact critics gave her NO LOVE for the latter. She was way ahead of her time, and badly missed these days...

I can kind of see where you You might think this is 190s song but music from 90 to like 93 especially pop and hip hop still had a very new swing80s style to ITIT really did not change other than grunge until About 1994 or 1995 (And of course the 80s style pop and R&B and hip hop music did not change it's production style or sound until about 92 or 93 with more obscure artist still going into the midnight 90s even though most sounded modern you could still find a lot of hair bands until around 1994 and even into 1995) But as far as pop music new jack swing had been around since 1986 or 87 and that kind of Electro Hip hop style new Jack swing Really didn't fall out of popularity until the mid 90Really didn't fall out of popularity until the mid 90s when we had more of the smooth RB from people like R. Kelly Mario And Later boys to men I can't think of any of the others I can't think about any of the othersothers, So for the most part most pop and hip hop from 8788 and 89 sounded like music from 1,990-1,993 scene production style Similar vocal styles and heavy on the keyboards and electric guitars.
