From Loverboy's 1981 album, "Get Lucky". Formed in Calgary ,🇨🇦, in 1979, Loveboy has had many great hits. Mike Reno's vocals are so beautiful and the guitars are magical, relying heavy on the synthesizer, this is a catchy midtempo rock song. It made it to Number 26 on The Billboard Hot 100's. Great reaction. Buckets of Maple Syrup love from Canada ❤️❤️ 🇨🇦 🇨🇦

Yes! I liked their first album, but their second one, "The Big Prize" was their best in my opinion. That entire first size of the album was perfect! "Bad Attitude" was my favourite because it rocked! "Lost & Found" was fun and "What Does It Take?" Is another. They were really great live, too. The memories! Canada gave the US some killer bands. So of course Mike Reno is from BC, which is also where I’m from, and 4 years ago the band did a free concert in a little town called Aldergrove, BC and it was killer! Unfortunately though, the base player Scott Smith passed away in a drowning accident in San Francisco in 2000. His bass playing skills were utterly amazing! Another good song that you should listen to is “Love Will Rise Again”, which is one of my favourite songs of theirs. And yes, Mike Reno’s voice is so so unrated. I also think that Loverboy should be inducted into The Canadian Music Hall of Fame, because they are that damn good!

Give a listen to Take Me to the Top. It's always been my favorite Loverboy song. We hear all of the time of how music brings back memories. I put this record on about 10 years ago, and it was the first time that I had listened to it in over 15 years before that. I listened to side one, turned it over, and listened to side two. Take Me to the Top is the last song on the album, and when it started, something happened that had never happened before or since. It was like every sense in my body went crazy. I was transported all the way back to 1981, sitting behind the school, waiting for my bus to return from making it's first run kissing my girlfriend. I could smell her and even taste her kisses. I don't think I'll ever experience anything like that again. She wasn't my first girlfriend and not my first kiss with her, but something about her and that day came back to me after all those years just from hearing our favorite song. I wish experiences like that were more common than just the memories.

But, it almost seems like they've been forgotten as you dont hear their songs played that much and they arent talked about very much anymore. Saw them in concert in the mid 80's. Awesome! Good band. Mike Reno sure knew how to rock a headband. Funny story: the local classic rock station played their song “Turn Me Loose” and 30 seconds in, the song starts skipping (it was a CD) for about 10-15 seconds. Pause. Silence for about 30 seconds. Then, the song starts over again. No skips this time. 🤪 “Turn Me Loose” is a great one. Another Canadian band you might like is Saga and their 1981 hit song “On The Loose”. 👍👍

This is the radio version of the song. There are a couple of verses missing. Done for play time. The lead singer, Mike Reno, also sang with Sammy Hagar on a song called Remember the Heros. The perfect Memorial Day song.

Another song that demonstrates Mike Reno's awesome vocal ability is "Lucky Ones." Give a listen! Also, check out the duet he did with Ann Wilson from Heart from the "Footloose" soundtrack called "Almost Paradise." On that note, "Footloose" is another 80s movie y'all would absolutely love! Lots of great hits on that!

The lead singer is Mike Reno. They used to come by my friend's club, (who were my friends! the house band) Fun times in the 80s. Mike had a great voice, and his trademark was wearing those red leather pants, but none so, the headband. Mike Reno did a duet with Anne Wilson of Heart called ALMOST PARADISE, which was in a movie....FOOTLOSE, I think. There is a video from that movie, Two of the hottest voices in Vancouver sound in 70s , 80s.

Lead singer Mike Reno had one of the best rock voices of the 1980's. Both the songs you have reacted to are from their second album "Get Lucky". It was their breakthrough album and made them famous. Another song from this same album you really should check out is You Take Me (To The Top). That song really shows Mike Reno's huge singing range.

They just make some good music , that crunchy guitar of Paul Dean and Mike Reno’s high vocals work. Toss in a great rhythm section of Mr Matt Frenette drums , Scott Smith on bass and Doug Johnson on keys and you got something special going on It’s been a minute since I’ve listened to this song. Thanks.

Great, I’ve been waiting to see you do some Loverboy, this was one of their best songs, Mike Reno has one of the best voices in Rock. The thing is with this band though is you need to listen to the full length album versions, all of the music videos are severely edited and cut out a LOT of the original song, especially in this case, more than a minute of the song was removed, and in the music video version of Turn Me Lose you reacted to, nearly two minutes were missing! Also check Turn Me Loose, You Take me to the Top, and The Kid is Hot Tonight, all album versions.
