Hi before I saw this video I could probably link 6-8 double unders before failing. I took this advice and practice the penguin technique, maybe just once a week doing 4x100 jumps without a rope and practicing the double hand slaps to the legs in one jump suggestion. Today we had double unders in our wod. I could do 30 double unders before failing! I was also surprised how much more my skips were less taxing because I knew my jump timing, I could even control my speed, something I never could do before. I also noticed the rope spun faster cause my hands moved quicker, again I think thanks to the double tap practice. I am so happy I've improved on a skill I've been struggling with for 2 years. So this drill has made all the difference for me! I could barely string together 3 DU in a row. After trying this drill for a couple of minutes, my mind finally "clicked" on how my hands were supposed to swing the rope. I can now bang out 50 in a row now without a problem, and that's just from practicing about 5 minutes every other day for just under a month! A month from now I'm hoping to bang out 100 in a row. THANK YOU!!!

Was so frustrated I didn’t have double unders. Did this drill consistently a couple times this past week and hit my first 10 in a row. Can’t wait to get even more! THANK YOU!

been doing this drill and the next day i can do 12 double unders in a row!, well kinda weird drill but trust me it work! 👍

I'm going to try this with my wife this weekend. She's been struggling for a year and we've tried everything. This seems like a great psychological way to ingrain the motion. Plus my wife gets very frustrated with how much dub practice can hurt. No pain, lots of gain. Hopefully. Subscribed the channel and the newsletter because of this video. Thank you.

Where have you been for the last year of my life? I used to do DU easily in my younger age but last year i picked up jump roping again.. im in my mid 40s now and i just lost my rhythm! After watching your video it just clicked for me! Now i can do DU easily again..like im 20+ years younger...thanks for the help! Really appreciated 🌹

Doing this drill now!! I for once done 7 double unders and then never again lol. Max 2 jumps then it stop.

Thanks. I'm gonna try the penguin for a couple of weeks and then give the ropes a try. Like that some of the frustration will be removed by not worrying about the ropes.
