You overlook the age of culpability in the Bible at around age 12. She defied her parents & the catechism to justify her new church found in the world of secularism, because it appears easier/ freer to do as she pleases without realizing a consequence. Many very good catholic families have a child that defies our way of life to follow their new found peers when they become of age testing their freedom. Here is his overlooked error James 2:24 - the phrase “faith alone” (the Greek “pisteos monon”) only occurs once in the Bible. “Man is justified by works and NOT faith alone.” -- This is why Luther wanted the Epistle of James ripped from Protestant Bibles calling this Inspired Epistle an Epistle of straw because it was a hindrance to his doctrine after adding "alone" to Romans 3:28! So to the next error Protestants created in the 16th century Eph. 2:8-9 - we have been saved by grace through faith, not because of “works,” lest anyone boast. This much-quoted verse by you Protestants refers to the “works” of the Mosaic law or any works performed in a legalistic sense, where we view God as a debtor to us, and not as our heavenly Father. But good works done in faith are necessary for justification (James 2:24, etc.) because we receive rewards by grace, not by legal obligation, and we attribute these works to God, not ourselves. She was probably raised in a Catholic home and then rejected it, but for some reason considers herself nominally Christian in the "Jesus is love" sense. Jesus IS love, but he's many other things besides that,. Then you have to nail down the definition of "love" as not simply being acceptance of all behaviors, but rather doing what is truly according to God's will, which includes evangelism. She rejects evangelism and telling people about why their behaviors are leading them away from God. Christians are staunchly all about telling people about their sins to show why we need a Savior, then following that with the message of the Gospel and how God makes a way to restore the lost relationship humans once had with him. This includes denouncing sexual sin which is acting on any sexual urges outside of the male / female marriage covenant: fornication, shacking up, unlawful divorce and remarriage (adultery), cheating on your spouse (also adultery), polygamy, pederasty, homosexual sex, pedophilia, and so forth. Christians love the law of God, and we love people enough to tell them when they're sinning against his law without repenting, because that is going to ultimately result in eternal separation from God in Hell.

I was raised Catholic but I'm not Catholic. I almost became a Priest but there were to many Catholic laws i disagree with. The big one was probably confession to a Priest. The church made this law to control the congregation. That Priest knew who was in that confessional. I think what makes me Catholic is how and what i feel about the Holy Eucarist. People should study Gnosticism because the Apostles fought it in it's early form where believers were persuaded to return to the old Jewish law but as time passed, different people presented new ideas until a variety of so-called ways to salvation were being taught which contradicted what the Apostles shared and left Christ out of it altogether. Truth matters. So much Gnostic literature was burned centuries later due to its confusion and dismissal of Christ where little of it exists today. We seem to be returning to Gnosticism. John said Jesus is the Word and the Word is God. Jesus said in order to follow him, we first have to deny ourselves and sacrifice daily. Whatever it is that gets in the way of loving Christ and following him has to be given up first. We can't serve two masters.

Because when you receive the holy spirit there is no denying it. Do you expect proof of the spiritual to be found in the physical. The God of the bible tells you to humble yourself drop your pride and ask God to reveal himself to you. Two and half billion people have done this and due to doing so have unwavering faith that can not be shaken. They have their proof of his existence through receiving the holy spirit which has changed them forever. This can not be denied by those who have failed to do so nor is it for any Christian to give proof of it. It is purely between you and God himself. No one can show you the spiritual in the physical realm. It is an experience that can not be put into words. You can argue the point all you want but the answer will always be the same. Humble yourself, drop your pride and call on God with good intent and you will find proof. Like it or not it is what it is and it is a choice only you can make. A choice of you calling on God with good intention and a humble heart or remaining ignorant to his existence. Its not something you can demand of God or there to argue with. Its purely down to you, your choice and willingness to change. Take it up with God himself or remain separated from God. Not my rules but what he calls upon us to do if you wish to.

@@bonnieparker9584 The simple answer is I don't believe a man (2,000 years ago no less) was born to a virgin. This flies in the face of everything we know about biology and science. On top of that, he rose from the dead? This is incredible to me in the literal sense of the word. That being said, there are numerous other reasons why religion is obviously nonfactual. The fact that hundreds of religions have existed throughout time is one of them. Man creates religion to explain the unexplainable or control the uncontrollable. When those things are explained or controlled, the religion that addressed them becomes obsolete. Look at Greek and Roman gods as an example. The religions that survived best explain the questions that currently don't have answers. That's why Christianity is so popular. Man created Christianity to do that very thing. Once someone invents a new religion that explains the unexplainable better than Christianity, Christianity will be relegated to the dustbin of history. Plus, can't even get past of the first two chapters of Genesis without encountering your first undeniable contradiction.
