This is late, but how did Kirby vs Majin Buu lose most Salty to Goku vs Superman II? I was around the internet when that happened, and I seem to remember the Dragon Ball fanbase being a lot more angry about "the baby who's a ripoff of Majin Buu from a kiddy game" winning than Superman winning again. I think Tifa vs Yang might have been more salt inducing, but IMO Goku vs Superman II wasn't even the most salt inducing death battle for the Dragon Ball fanbase of season 2, and I think the fact that I STILL see people try to claim Kirby should have lost seals the deal.

If I had to guess, I'd say it was a multitude of factors: The fact that it was hyped as a rematch yet still having the same result, the fact that GvS2 basically crapped all over who Goku is as a character, the fact that it was done way too early and that they should've waited until after Goku got a more powerful form, things like that.
