I don't blame Goku vs Superman getting as many votes as it did, for Season 1 the episode was incredible and you could just tell the Death Battle Team, which was incredibly small back then, put as much effort as they could into the episode. Whether you agree with the decision or not, you can't deny the effort that was put into this episode and the impact it had in the vs community.

KI 2013 confirmed that Riptor is a female raptor, and I guess it would make sense since the character was supposed to be a giant homage to Jurrassic Park
