The moral of the story is that you shouldn't rush blindly full speed into combat, especially if you are rushing past blown-up tanks. Seems like a good map setting, to force a smaller area of combat to focus, with the larger area to maneuver about into position. Also, good video, and good content!

I love these videos, but man was it making me wince when you didn't push 75mm T-34 or Sherman. There's barely any chance of penetration on your tank.

There is if they are packing APCR. There is a chance if there is another tank that don't know about. Recklessly pushing when you don't need to is a sure way to get yourself killed. Even in a Tiger.

@@Wolfpack345 True. Open ground and planes do make it significantly harder. Not to mention foliage and distance. Angling your tank does help a lot though, especially against APCR. Idk if you did it a lot, but there were a few times your tank was just head-on with your target. Hell I can't complain though, you survived it all and got what, 11 kills? So kudos to you. I wish I could play this game. But for some reason as soon as a load the tank sim, the game screen blacks out and it just doesn't work. It doesn't freeze, it just blacks out. No one can figure out why. Not I, the support, or my friends.

Tough mission! Have you checked out a game called Post Scriptum? It's an extremely good tank and infantry simulation. I've been following videos by a player called "Vade", and he's one hell of a fine tank commander. In that game you work with several other players as a crew inside the tank, so the commander and the gunner, for instance, are two different players.

Yup I do play a lot of Post Scriptum actually, just not so much on the channel. In Tank Crew you can have other players in your tank as well. Gunner, driver, commander, and radioman. I should do a multi crew video one day.

There is also Hell let loose with tanks and have much more players (~6000 per 24h) than PS, but tanks are not that good , in next patch they will have tanks in mind, they refined infrranty, now they decided tanks will see some love. Good game to check, and UE4 engine is gorgeous.

The Online game Fighter Ace hosted a 'historical' simulation. Do a level of damage to an enemy site and a column of tanks would be generated to roll and occupy the targeted site. Well, due to resource constraints our column only rolled one Tiger tank, instead of the 10 normally. Our squadron, HARD, shepherded that one tank to take 3 enemy sites! We had to fly cover for it and screen it from enemy fighters, but we wanted to award an Iron Cross to that particular Tiger.

MMMMMMM. The more of these IL-2 vids I watch, the more I wanna just, buy all the games from it at the same time. XD Hell, I even bought a couple hundred dollar flight stick for WWI/II flight sims. It didn't come with twist for yaw tho and I was dumbdumb and didn't realize the twist module was meant for the flight stick one level up. Thank god the ThrustMaster TWCS has a rocker switch with more than just '1L-0-1R' so I can actually use a rudder properly without needing to just 'feather tap' a keyboard button like in War Thunder. Would have purchased pedals, but I don't have the space for them.

i started this game and its awsome but trying to figure out the config of controls is a whole other thing. The games controls are not simplified like compared to games like War Thunder or World of tanks games like that. Also you need quit a set up of controls for the planes i.e. Flight stick and yoke, rudder pedals and a TrackerIR for head movement. But i played the tanks trying with just a keyboard and mouse but it seemed like i was missing something cause i didnt have a TrackerIR or anything like that.
