What a nice treat on a cold and wintery day over here in the UK. That's a lovely engine Joseph, starts and runs beautifully. Happy New Year, hope it's a really good one.

First view and first comment. That is a very attractive engine that starts and runs beautifully. I was also born in 1941, but I don't run anywhere near as well as that old Wolseley! 🙂I love the way it runs so smoothly at slow idle! Joseph, you truly are the master of these old engines. Thanks for sharing this!

That makes you a true SUBSCRIBER. I am so glad you like the running of this engine in the video. I bet you are right on that. Last week I got called from the other Island of Gozo by an agriculture mechanic about a Hatz Diesel engine that you could not start. At the 2nd moment that I swing the engine I noticed that the timing is out. Took the injector off to inspect the cycle with my eyes and found that the Diesel is spraying at almost bottom stroke. Re timed the engine and off it went :) Have a happy new year Bruce.

@@enginelover1 Ha! I've heard of timing being off by 180° but never experienced it. Good that you were there to put that engine straight. Wishing you a great new year, too, Joseph!

Did you ever do anything with that D type you had from me?

Right now It being preserved full of oil. Its pretty stuck and at the moment I am pretty short on time. Dont worry one day that D will come it turn and may even make it to the rally,
