It does but he does need a buff on his healing factor. His healing passive should scale with the amount of damage you output or with rage reducing the cooldown by 10s for every elim or smth because 90 seconds is crazy for Wolverine. Luna gets her ult almost as a fast as Wolverine gets his passive ability.

I remember when OW first came out (and during beta) everyone called Winston horrible because his bubble was seen as weak, his damage was "tickling" and his ult was "just a heal / useless". Meanwhile Bastion and Torb were called OP, and Bast+Rein+Mercy bunker was called unbeatable and nerfs were being called for regularly. It's normal that as the average skill level improves popular opinion of who's good / bad will shift. What shouldn't be normal is for the devs to kneejerk respond before the meta has formed and skill / knowledge of the game is still in infancy.

Yeah, I used to be that knucklehead that hated on Wolverine for being made of paper... then it dawned on me to try playing him like in some of his past video games: don't charge head-on like you're invincible "cuz healing". If he's engaging at 0 rage, most other duelists ought to be able to beat him 1v1. But if he's ALREADY at high rage (about 80 or more), he's a problem even for other melee duelists. The difference in TTK is massive even vs squishies (not just vs tanks). If you're playing Magik, Black Panther, Iron Fist, etc... when he shows up, take note of the opposing Wolverine's rage to decide how to react.

I saw Widow low on the tier list and I dont claim to be pro but i am MVP so often playing Widow even though she is not as strong as Hawkeye he is OP. If the other team got bad healers or if they die i also catch tanks really easily because headshots do like 1/5 to 1/4 of tank health. I also go for healers if they are in sight. 1 headshot and the healer is 10hp

Spectacular year for games? LOL absolutely not. 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2012 were spectacular years for games. This year was one of the worst ever. People just have rose tinted goggles on because so many bad games released mediocre games like Helldivers 2 (which has solid mechanics but is not structured well at all for progression), and above decent games like Space Marines 2 (which is basically just a visually superior version of the original) are heralded as the second coming. But Helldivers 2 lacks the grit, mechanical tightness and progression of games like Lost Planet 2 (which I recently replayed after playing Helldivers 2) and Space Marine 2 doesn't actually do anything to evolve or enhance the genre.

Perfect example of how it's not about the character you're playing, but rather the player behind the character. Several Valorant and Apex players have been like this, where they take a character and MASTER it and are head and shoulders better than everyone else to the point it has to get nerfed. I'm a Monster Hunter guy and have put hundreds/thousands of hours into LBG. It's not the best weapon in any game, but I'm very, VERY good at playing a mediocre weapon when it comes to speedrunning. It's the perfect example of play what you want and don't care about meta.

Wolverine does percentage based dmg so more against higher hp pools (aka tanks). The strategy is basically flank, shift enemy tank into your team and farm dmg off them. They don't always die because healing is kinda strong. But you farm a lot more dmg and ult charge. His ult is insane and it can delete tanks. Best strategy against a good wolverine is basically to run a Venom + triple dps so you basically just limit or outright remove his options.

That's because in Quickplay, not in a stack, or playing with a team that has zero awareness he is not great. However, Wolverine is in this spot where the more competent your team is, the better he is. This can make him good, but not OP.

Wolverine has one of the best strike attacks but he can be countered if out numbered. Once he gets his grab it's up to wolverines aim to slash the kill. Vs Ina comp you will have pennys,invisible woman, mantis bucky and all the characters that have jump away buttons that all play in effect in wolverines efficient role as a beat him up.

I’ve spent 8 hours playing Wolverine for his achievement, and I have to say, he’s good but not great. If they reduced the cooldown on his health regeneration ability, I’d say he’d be a solid pick. Paired with a good healer and a Hulk for the fastball special Logan is a straight up menace. A lot of this game revolves around optimizing for synergy. He's a tank buster but with the right support he can take out any opponent.

​@GeneralProfessor For tanks, I recommend not rushing in and sticking with your healers and team. Magneto would help you a lot in that situation. This is the best advice I can give because even if he doesn't kill you, he can still move you to another location. Besides teaming up with Hulk, his ultimate can also relocate you, so it's best to face him together and defeat him before he has a chance to act. +I found that facing a team of Scarlet Witch, Cloak and Dagger is particularly tough, as they both drain your health until you die, making it difficult to deal with them. If I go after Scarlet, she'll get healed, and if I target Cloak and Dagger, Scarlet will slow me down, giving them a chance to escape. Mind you, these tips are for facing them head-on, not for backstabbing in the capture the area game mode. Wolverine is best suited for the car push game mode.

I wouldn't argue just a lower of cooldown. As is, his passive for health regen is pretty garbage. The cooldown is too high, yes. The 10 second CD Reduction per kill isn't worthy. But being reliant on Rage is also not worthy, plus that heals 150 only without it. If you don't have your damage reduction buff while your passive pops, you most likely won't get away. It's that bad. They should give him a constant, albeit small, health % regen and work around that to be more efficient. Like, Iron Fist has a 12 second CD skill that puts him at full health + shield. And the block for extra shield. Just give Wolverine constant regen already.

@TheArnoldification well i heard the main issue was the the max-health percentage damage wasnt even present in the in-game descriptions, an people could only find it on the external website, so the issue actually WASN'T that people weren't reading, its that the info wasn't where it reasonably should've been. That said its honestly still early enough to be speculative about the state of balance as people better learn certain characters. Like i didn't even know Groot's walls could ATTACK people, so I'm sure little bits and thingd like that will become more common knowledge and the ACTUAL meta will start to level out. So honestly I'm inclined to believe you on Wolverine not being garbage. Even that said though, I'm curious if people are okay with Wolverine not playing in a way that would be intuitive to them, or if they still think his kit ought to be readjusted to suit a more Wolverine-FEELING playstyle. Many people wished he was a Vanguard, and honestly given the nature of his in-universe character, I'm inclined to agree with the sentiment, though we don't know if the devs are willing to change entire kits around and classes around yet, so we'll see

I feel like Wolverine is one of those characters that gets more and more dangerous the higher skill the players are. Since he can just dive and abduct an enemy tank to take them out, if the opposing team is relying on their composition and each individual player brings a lot to the table, having a hero that can break that easily with ambush attacks can let your team push and win. Meanwhile it's easy to say he sucks when you're not at that skill level because at low levels without a fully understanding of the game and Wolverine's kit (that being tank busting), you just see a guy who slashes, can't keep up with most heroes, and does seemingly low damage to everyone. Not to mention in unranked pubs too, where there's often no supports or tanks anyway, so Wolverine is just a fish out of water there.

Wolverine is still not a high tier character because he’s situational. Aside from top ranking games, teams usually don’t run 2 tanks. He also is terrible if the player is terrible, unlike someone like Punisher or Hela where even if you aren’t good, you can still perform decently and contribute. TeamCaptain is like 1% of 1% Wolverine players. This kind of video gives the average or bad players the delusion that if they pick Wolverine they’ll be useful too.
