Woman Freaks Out After Hearing Voice Coming Through Her Furbo

Angela Cuniberti panicked when heard a strange sound in her home. “I heard a man's voice say ‘hey beautiful,'” she told KMOV. As she soon discovered, that man’s voice came from her Furbo, a dog camera that can toss treats to pets when you’re not home. Security expert Scott Grannerman warns about products connected to the internet. “We put these little internet connected chips in all these devices and the problem is we've now opened up security problems everywhere,” he said.

I would be more surprised if she did keep the Furbo cause I wouldn't feel safe with one after that even if it was fixed! This was just a story on Furbo so that might not have been covered.

It was her network not the Furbo. The man is still in her network she only got rid of one piece. He can still access her PC, Phone, Webcams or anything else on the network. All she had to do was secure her network, change the password and that guy would be gone. But since she JUST got rid of the Furbo he is still there in her Network with full access, she didnt solve the problem at all.

Whilst staying at a major hotel chain for work a few years, I was working in security systems, me and a colleague in an adjacent room both noticed that whenever we used their WiFi that the red led on the “fire alarm’ would flicker like the way a router does at home. Anyway, being curious I opened up my bag and got a few tools out and removed the cover, it ended up being a pinhole camera, with microphone and a small controlled electrical motor. We took photos and our company took legal action against them regarding privacy infringement. Makes you think who’s watching couples having a private night away or something. I mean they don’t expect to go away for a night and return being pornhub stars!

Inside cameras can be fine as long as you have password no one else can hack into/guess correctly some people just do way too easy of a password.

It all comes down to securing your network, using a complex password and not leaving it as the default. Also don't make the password something people will know you like or would use. In the end it is down to personal security, and people not being thorough with it which allows others in.

Only took one minute to Google that and find her home address, her work, her birthday, her social media accounts, her relatives, her brother's obituary, the schools she attended.
