JJ's judgement was awarding the defendants with a running car with work done on it worth 2,500 approx. ( as JJ awarded that to the plaintiff). They already got $500 from the plaintiff for the sale of the car. JJ said that the woman scammed the guy by selling a car that was not hers. So why did JJ give the scammer a car worth 2,500, felt like it was a reward for her scam. I think JJ should have asked the plaintiff to take out the new engine ( worth $1800 or whatever) and return the car with old engine to defendant . He is in the business of fixing cars so he can use it in the future or sell it. This way, the defendant would not be getting too much benefit from her scam. Plaintiff should have been awarded $500 he paid for the car and another say $600 for additional work and labor he put in that car. Any other loss he incurred, he would have to eat it for he started work on car before he got the title.

The Judge is wrong in this case. Her own blue book is above what she is giving him. She said he shouldn't have expected these people to pay for it. Well he didn't. He expected a title to the car he bought.
@aprilross0111 Жыл бұрын
This where i dont like JJ she dosent listen , dosent let people talk , cuts them off. If she did one google search she would see this engines have big problems. And maybe he should have waited for a title. But if she making him return the car because he cant get a title then the. Defendant should pay the full price of what he had into the car! He's not trying to charge for labour he's trying to charge for the parts. So the Defender gets a new running car for $2,500. And the plaintiff is out his time and money because these people knew he would never going to get title. 🤦. Now they will be driving that car for couple years. Thanks JJ for helping use with the scram.

@RR-VanityInKnickers6 күн бұрын
Plaintiff should have ask JJ to ammend his complaint to return it exactly as he bought it especially if she wasn't willing to award him what he put into it. He could have taken his engine out and put the old engine back in and told JJ just to give him back his $500 and for them to come and pick up the vehicle in the condition he bought it, eating the cost of the fixed scratch and his time. Then he could have turned around and sold the engine for closer to what he paid for it then what she was willing to give. Because giving them back a now RUNNING vehicle makes it worth more and the defendants are getting out ahead and they can turn around and sell it at a much higher value because it's no longer in poor condition. This is one of the few times I disagree with JJ's assessment of the situation.

It's not "punitive". It's linked to good faith and torte law. They had a deal and he's just supposed to think of anybody who he buys something from as being shady. This is what the law has become - a distortion of facts through legal 'opinion'. Consequences occur due to being shady, as fully demonstrated by the defendants, and rewarding them by opting him money that HE has to swallow penalized him. And this is considered fair. No this kind of fair encourages more scamming, especially by those who now leave the court with a form of permission because of WEAK justice. It was a set-up, and Judy helped these criminals.
