I grew up on Hillsong United songs. When I moved to Los Angeles and found out there was a Hillsong church, I was so excited. When I went to a service, it was like a rock concert. I tried to sit up front but it was roped off for “VIPs” (celebrities, influencers). After the service, I overhead a group of girls who were excited that they had VIP backstage passes and they could mingle with the celebrities. I never went back to Hillsong LA. It’s just not what church should be and I’m super super super liberal as a Christian. It just rubbed me the wrong way that church catered to the wealthy and famous That being said, I believe Carl Lentz entered the ministry with genuine intentions but the problem when leading a church that caters to celebrities, and you start to become a celebrity yourself, you start to feel like person who is a cult of personality. It’s intoxicating. And little by little, he moved towards living a double life. If he wants to live that life, he shouldn’t be in the ministry

This happen to me. My ex husband was a Youth Pastor assistant. I found out he was seeing one of the young adults and they later got married. We need to address why are so many Ministry's Leaders falling from grace. The reason is because The Church has shut out The Truth and grieved The Holy Spirit by sugar coating the Word of God. Pursuing Holiness isn't taught in many Churches today. Leaders are teaching the people to prostitute Grace. When we go back to Our First Love and pursuing Holiness and holding each other accountable and following sound doctrine and dying daily by fasting and guarding our hearts and not this new age religion of just do you and God knows our heart and teaching a water down gospel ........these things will no longer be named amongst us. 🙏

However, Ranin is culpable. Lentz was upfront about his marriage yet she carried on, which is essentially consenting to cheating. Poor excuses - Ranin said she didn't mean to hurt Lentz's wife, Laura. It doesn't negate fact that she cheated with her eyes wide open, it doesn't change the fact the cheating broke up Laura's marriage. Trying to break off with Lentz several times is not the same as cutting it off completely once and for all. She needs to acknowledge she is a homewrecker. For Laura, it must be devastating to go through a divorce and so publicly humiliated too.

I am the greatest sinner that I know, or at least one who is willing to admit my wrongs out loud. I’m sadly even a murderer because I had 2 abortions when I was very young. I wish I would have been practicing abstinence back then, like I am today because of my love and devotion to Christ. He has completely changed who I am and it’s because I surrendered and submitted to Him and His perfect will. We have to allow Him to change every area of our lives. He is my everything. I’m nothing without Him. I am also sober with over 13 1/2 years of sobriety from alcoholism because I submitted and surrendered to Him. I feel like a lot of people just don’t comprehend His greatness, His love, mercy and grace. He can and will completely change us, we simply must confess, repent, obey, trust and have great faith. I might be mistaken but the news item came across as if this woman was a "victim" of this pastor. In what way was she a victim deserving sympathy? Any decent person in her place would've stayed low out of shame for destroying a marriage, and not come on national TV to broadcast her role in splitting a family up. She knew he was married and this single information should have been sufficient for her to have stayed away from him. I know there would be many who would back her. This is the sad state of affairs,(no pun here), that for a significant number of the population, everything is permissible under their moral code of: "as long as they are consenting adults". I wish this planets stopped spinning very soon.
