@@RadioForYourSleep Comparing to many other countries it's a much smaller pool of athletes to pick from, a nonexistent college athletic system and only about 2 recognized athletic sport club; I think a country of just over 2 million people dominating a world athlete event is absolutely remarkable. It's not unreasonable to see a country like China of over a billion people dominating table tennis but country of little over 2 million dominating the world stage is unlikely.

Yep, Merlene Ottey was cheated, but since the race was in Atlanta, they had to give it to the American. Usually the fastest closer wins at the line because they have the greater momentum, but not when it is an American on American soil.

Marion Jones tinted the sport so much so that they couldn’t even show the 100 meters finals for the Sydney 2000 Olympics. They ended up giving the next two ladies silver. No gold medal was awarded that year 🤦🏽‍♀️

*Isn't it amazing how nobody even heard of Shelly-Ann Fraser before the 2008 Olympics and she shows up and runs the 2nd fastest women 100m time in Olympic history and winning with just about the same distance as Usain Bolt winning the 100m races with his record breaking 100m race. The Jamaicans went from just being competitive to record smashers overnight, isn't that amazing.
