Three years ago Mariana Pajón couldn’t even walk and there she was, fighting for another Olympic title 🤯 She’s definitely the QUEEN of BMX. Mad respect to Beth as well, this was her time for Gold. Also, can we talk about the fact that medalists were from the same countries in both events, male and female, just in different order.

Beths win is even better if you consider that her funding was stopped by the UK government meaning that she had to crowdfund her way there. They did this as they thought BMX especially Womens BMX had no chance to medal for Britain and then they went on to put 25 million more towards rowing in these last 4 years. Then at this Olympics, BMX for Britain outperformed Rowing as GB got 4 medals (2 gold, a silver and a bronze) in BMX from 4 events and only 3 medals (2 silvers and a bronze) in rowing in 14 events.

I will never not hear Shanaze Reade yelling “ALL THE WAY! ALL THE WAY!!!!” down the final straight! Pure joy! 🎉🎉 Amazing to think Shriever had to crowdfund £50,000 for her journey to Tokyo because Sport England didn’t fund her, and she won gold! I felt that “I need to sit down” at the finish 😂😂😂😂 true role model ❤️🔥🇬🇧🚴🏻‍♀️

The Queen is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING on a Bmx bike!! Second turn and 3rd Straight she could have peddled alot more and WON it!!! She's the Greatest girl I've ever seen in Bmx!! I've raced from 1978 to 2016!! Had to retire due to 5 stomach surgeries and 2 illiostomy bags!!! Bmx is The Greatest Sport on Earth!!!❤❤❤
