Relive the FULL women's #triathlon from #Tokyo2020, including 1,5km swimming, 40km cycling and a 10km run! The gruelling race saw a group of five - including Flora Duffy, Georgia Taylor-Brown and Katie Zaferes - pull away during the bike ride. However, it was the run where the true champion was decided, as Duffy led from the start of the four-lap race, winning in a time of 1:55.36 - a full minute and 14 seconds ahead of second-place Taylor-Brown.

Anyone who even tries to complete a triathlon like this is a badass...especially trying to do so on a rainy day. So kudos to everyone who competed. Winning a gold medal is amazing enough, but winning the first of your COUNTRY...now THAT's an incredible feat! And she did all the training leading up to it all on her own...Flora is an absolute LEGEND

I much prefer this replay to the men's because you can actually hear the ambient sounds on the course! No commentator to drown out the audio of the competition. The rain creates a nice atmosphere too.

if anybody is wondering why taylor brown dropped back during the last lap of cycling phase, its cuz she had a flat back tyre.

What happens if the athlete gets a flat tyre? Do they ride it like that or a tyre is quickly changed for them?

@@pranshusahu8678 They mostly ride as it is or pullout cuz these olympic distance races finish so quick. For ironman and half ironman ive seen people repair it in the fly in like 5-10 mins

So I have finished the whole video and imagine what!! You are competing in one of the toughest sport out there and this coverage did not bring you even for couple of seconds during the race!! And they focused on the leaders for almost 110 minutes out of 125 minutes but they did not have a chance to focus on the rest of the competitors for 3 minutes out of the 125 minutes!! How bad is it!! I think that who cover the race need to think about it and also @World Triathlon as they do the same.
