I've always preferred a man who lives with his natural hairy body. What's a big turnoff to me is the stubble growing in from shaving on a man's chest or back. Some stubble on the face is just fine.

As a female, I LOVE my boyfriend's hairy chest. He threatens to wax off his beautiful dark hair and I honestly tell him it might be a deal breaker. I can't help but feel grossed out at waxed male bodies. Love playing, running my fingers and face through it... Society has made him feel self conscious, which is sad. Mikej1592 yes, there is a numbing spray that the waxer can spray on your chest, genitalia, back, parts of the face etc. You can buy a bottle at Sally’s or on Amazon and take it with you if your waxer does not use it. Also the soothing lotion afterwards is a cooling lotion that takes the sting and pain away after the waxing sensation and there are even ones that help prohibit hair growth in order to prolong the time between waxing sessions and any ingrown hairs you may get. My husband trims his upper chest and lower back (the only areas where it grows long) with the "3-day" guard on his electric trimmer . I like it. The hairs aren't sharp as they would be if he shaved and let it grow back. Now, his shoulder hairs don't get vacuumed up into my nostrils when I breathe.
