My mother told me this story growing up and how this doesn’t happen anymore because of improvements in healthcare. All the people who knew my great aunt are dead now, but they would be shocked that procedures developed after her death almost 100 years ago that could have saved her are no longer available today because of politics and ethics. @@brainchamber99 You're mistaken. Abortion is a medical procedure performed in emergency rooms and at OBGYN offices in hospitals on patients who had a miscarriage too, not just people who go to Planned Parenthood because they don't want to have a baby. By definition, abortion is the natural or surgical clearing of the womb of fetal remains. This can occur due to a miscarriage when it passes naturally, when a doctor removes a dead fetus, or when a woman chooses not to go through with a pregnancy. It seems you might also be unclear about what pregnancy actually is. A woman remains pregnant even if the fetus dies. Being pregnant with a dead or dying fetus is dangerous for the mother, and the medical treatment for that is abortion. Again, that's not just some dirty Planned Parenthood word. It's a medical procedure that saves lives of women who miscarry. By overturning the right to abortion, you're causing immense suffering for millions of miscarrying women and their families because of your outrageous religious beliefs. You ought to be embarrassed to have caused this much suffering to people who actually wanted to have their babies. Losing your unborn child is hard enough. The mental anguish that comes with being sent home to wait a few weeks for a dead baby to flush out your body is indescribable mental and physical pain. No one deserves that. Christians are the worst.
@brainchamber995 ай бұрын
@@yeahaboutthatthough3656 You're very incorrect on all of this. "when a woman _chooses_ not to go through with a pregnancy". Choose is the key word. Miscarriages are involuntary. Abortion is a choice. And some mothers, depending on the size of the fetus, will carry a dead one unknowingly. My brother's ex-girlfriend carried a small, petrified fetus in her for around 12 years or so. Only recently did she get it removed. So again, try to equate miscarriage, something involuntary, to abortion, something voluntary, when they don't compare. Save the mother from miscarriage? Yes. Save a mother from accountability by removing her "inconvenience"? No. Let her bear the fruits of her baby labor and live with it. Many responsible mothers do it. Motherhood starts at conception, not when you feel like it. Glad they overturned it.
@Genie51911 ай бұрын

They are at the mercy of the governor who clearly is declaring war on the doctors as well as on the women of the state. I would be shocked if there were more than just a handful of gyob doctors in Texas this time next year. The Texas court declared it was up to the doctor to determine if an abortion was medically needed, but they are at the risk of criminal prosecution if the AG disagrees. And if they decide to not risk their career and prison and the woman dies they can be prosecuted for failing to prevent her death. So doctors in Texas are in great danger and at the whim of the AG who thought that Cox wasn't at a great enough risk.

I'm a 75 year old man and I have known what was happening, simply by following the stories on-line and in other media. In light of the situation, two things are now needed: Congress needs to pass two Constitutional Amendments--the Equal Rights Amendment that Congress passed, in 1972, but ratification required by 3/4 of the States failed by 3 votes; and a Right of Privacy Amendment that keeps government out of the personal health decisions of citizens, including, of course, pregnant women. Because these states have been violating that law. The federal government has been investigating it in several states but they haven't made it a priority at all. The Department of Justice has publicly stated several times that these laws violate EMTALA. But they haven't actually done anything about it.

If the federal government actually did something and enforced EMTALA, there would be MASSIVE backlash from the state governments of the states where abortion is illegal. Instead the White House released a statement in 2009 saying that the administration didn’t feel that it was necessary to pass a comprehensive women’s health bill that guaranteed access to all reproductive healthcare believing that the Supreme Court always upholds precedent in spite of so many stating the contrary. Gestational diabetes 3. Placenta previa (where the fetus attaches low in the uterus, including partially or totally covering the cervical opening) According to The U.N., a pregnant woman dies every 4 minutes due to pregnancy-related complications. It wasn’t until numerous women died that they decided it was time. That’s something not a single so called news outlet ever talks about, they never talk to the women who regret terminating their pregnancy, and they never talk about the women who die during the procedures. It is not always a medical issue, if it were such a medical issue then how come they promote abortion up to birth in some places? Those pushing the murder of the unborn are the same folks who refuse to define women, refuse to protect girls and women from biological men taking their spots while claiming a “trans women is a women” which is a flat out lie. They care so much about a women’s right to kill their unborn because it feeds the baby body parts business, it feeds the church of satan and it feeds the depopulation agenda nothing more. Families use to have far more kids then they do now and the USA has been well below just the base line replacement count for decades now.
