Saw Eric Johnson at a bar one night when in grad school in texas. The guy that opened for him closed his set with this cover. Best acoustic cover ever...

Thx dude. I love Who since I am 10 and play guitar ever since (I was a young boy 😊). But never really tried to play Who. Since 2 months I do! And your version Sir is so inspiring. That being said I jammed Fooled again today along with your video for the 1st time in my life. Muchas!

Excellent! Great vocals, great guitar playing and tone! I’ve been wanting to cover this song for years, in fact our band was goofing around with it 2 nights ago at rehearsal. You’ve inspired me-we’re gonna do it!

Whenever I set out to cover an old song I search for every solo acoustic cover I can find for ideas to help me pull it off. Usually there's one that floats to the top and gets watched repeatedly while I dissect everything going on. No idea why I had to watch so many mediocre covers on my way to finding this one but I've been playing it on repeat for the last 24 hours. Kudos to you sir. You really captured the essence of an epic piece of rock history here. It's frankly better than a few of the live performances of Pete himself out there.

Thank you so much for the kind words! It was something to do during lockdown. Here is a version of my band, 8 Track, playing the same tune…fb.watch/iZFBgGhFiL/?mibextid=kdkkhi

Hi...it's a J-40. Bought it at Mandolin Brothers (now gone) from Stan Jay, who designed the fretboard inlay (it's in the Martin book). It's a lovely guitar to play. Hope you get one that speaks to you!
