The animals that we breed to eat do not play a part of the ecosystem. The only reason they exist is because we force breed them into existence. Them being removed from the equation will make the environment collapse. Conversely them existing is the problem not only for us but for the planet as well. The planet cannot handle so many meat eaters as meat is a resource intensive product to produce. It uses up far more amounts of land and water to produce while also being one of the leading causes of global warming. A Vegan world is sustainable, a non vegan world is not.
By being Vegan we do not actually save a life but rather prevent newer ones from coming into existence. By being Vegan we reduce the demand for meat, dairy and eggs and therefore reduce the number of animals being bred into existence to suffer miserably.

The lady suggested that the 2 thirds who are not vegan could eat the equivalent of 3 thirds. This is another reason why people in India need to go vegan. There is a danger, because of easy access fast flesh food, that there could be an obese epidemic. In the process of going vegan people will develop disciplined eating habits. Thank you for the video.🌱

Simple supply and demand. The more that people become vegan the less NEW animal farms will be created, and the more likely animal farms will begin closing down (transitioning to plant farming to meet new demand).

@@bbhmm5714 Its not that simple. The entire economy is built around meat consumption. When consumers aren't willing to buy meat and switch over to veganism economic crashes can happen due to inflation. Its very possible. This happens whenever theres a structural change. The influence of consumer in the market is very limited actually (In the sense of without causing a crash). But with the help of regulations it can be easier. We may need governmental intervention also. Im very skeptical towards the claim that veganism as a movement can be reduced to the level of individual responsibility. It takes much more than that.
@BeyondaThought
@BeyondaThought 10 ай бұрын
@@user-fj3hy5wv9w well you're assuming everyone will go vegan overnight. That's not going to happen. The reality is it will happen gradually, over a period of years, especially when cell cultured meat becomes marketable. No need to worry about your precious 'economy' crashing.

Then who will care about the animals who do not have any place to live. We humans are constantly expanding urbanisation. Where will the domestic animals go??? If humans don't use them, who will care about them? Killing animals is wrong, but stopping to use them completely is bulshit

They are born into this world for the demand of dairy only. Once dairy vanishes, they will not even exist to be suffered.
@RustyWalker
@RustyWalker 10 ай бұрын
Same reasoning. Reducing demand means allowing dairy herd sizes to naturally shrink in response, and fewer cows are caused to suffer to meet demand. This in turn frees the land for other uses and mitigates slash and burn clearing of virgin forests for new pastures.

Only those cows who have been genetically modified to give huge amounts of milk. Normal cows don't have any of those issues. The only species that really needs human intervention is sheep. If humans don't sheer them, their wool will become so heavy, it even affects their movement and causes issues

day 2 of adopting veganism. its hard as hell. i was a vegetarian before and I CAN NOT EAT ANYTHING WITHOUT CURD. rn day 2, having some stomach problems and mild depression. but fuck me i have killed enough cows and buffalloes already in this ignorance. 20 years of drinking milk. my father thankfully understands and he adopted veganism too. im from rajasthan and the things i have to leave, ice cream, milkshakes, daal bati churma, whey protein, dahi paratha, lassi, chaas. omg it is like leaving multiple drugs at once. but somehow im able to do it. then i ask why so? i have a gaming addiction too but i was not able to withdraw from it. why so, i thought. its because when i game, the loss occuring is limited to myself only, whereas if i dont leave the eating addiction, it is not me who is paying. it is a 3rd party. in other addictions, i exploit myself for pleasure and in this i exploit animals for pleasure. thats the difference. i have to keep going. initial phase is the hardest. there are barfis (milk sweets) in my fridge rn and u have no idea how much i love them. i am getting confusing thoughts now. like for eg, the purpose of not drinking milk is to stop fueling the supply. that is the sole reason i believe. but if i already have barfis in my fridge which someone gave to us previously, can i eat it or not? when i go to functions, can i eat milk products or not? ARVIND I THANK U. u and acharya prashant helped me convert to an actual human.

Hey! I am amazed that at such a younger age you are adopting veganism Firstly congrats for your journey🎉 but I must tell you to go slow one by one try to have alternatives. Being entirely 100% vegan is tough. First try consuming soy milk/ almond milk, vegan ice creams, vegan milkshake. Don't leave curd immediately first take once in a week. I saw vegan curd is available but yeah bit expensive if we consume it regularly. Their are cookies and chocolates made with monkfruit sweetner( a plant based sweetner) u can try. Go slow and don't need to feel guilty even if you didn't turn out to be 100% vegan. As you have gotten the support of your father, the roadblocks in the vegan journey will be reduced. I just hope the price of vegan foods items get reduced with time. My best wishes to you❤

Should we care for ecological entities like ecosystem, biosphere and it's functionality or the welfare and quality of individual members who constitute the former and have sentience like what we do in our society? Just because nature/ecosystem/biosphere are balanced doesn't mean the individual animals live a good life. Most of the time it is the opposite which is true The endless cycle of predation , procreation and death, parasites, diseases natural calamities, starvation , death etc.... Which are required to keep the ecosystem in 'good' balance doesn't sound any less than hell. Suppose If i can claim that In tropical countries Seasonal cycles of diseases like malaria, dengue Are natural and are required for the stability of ecosystem by reducing and stagnating human and other mammalian population and thus it is good would be offensive to so many This is speciesism at its finest (By the way I don't think it is good to kill population to keep it stable;it is about the cognitive dissonance I want to expose)

If slaughter houses causing suffering similar on the scale of factory farms existed naturally, lets say if they rose from the ground instead of any Anthropogenic causes, and lets say if their functioning is essential for ecosystem stability, How many of you vegans will intervene for those souls trapped there? Those who went vegan due for 'environment' and 'ecosystem balance' what do you say (Btw, i am a vegan too)
