The art style really sold me on this remake. It is so beautiful. As said in the video, it is close to what I pictured when I played the original. It brings a tear to my eye.

Je suis un petit jeunôt je connaissais pas du tout Wonderboy mais après avoir entendu Puyo en parler j'ai mater un peu les jeux rétros et j'ai trouvé ca sympatoche. Mais c'est après que j'ai enfin vu votre remaster... putin c'est super fidèle mais c'est juste trooooooooooop beau les backgrounds sont magnifiques et j'adore tellement les personnages et leurs expressions, bravo Ben et Omar

When I learned Ben Fiquet had done a talk at GDC 2018, I tried to see if I could find a video or transcript of it. Unfortunately, the only one I found was at GDC Vault, which requires a subscription of a whopping $550 per year... :-(

Very good video! I would like to know at what resolution the characters draw so that they later look good in the game on different screens. When using pixel brush I think it is difficult not to look bad.

Vous avez fait un super boulot. Moi je me le suis pris sur la switch car je peux l’embarquer partout et le faire découvrir ou redécouvrir aux gens. Mais les gars si vous nous refaite le Wonder Boy In the Monster World le dernier sortie en Europe sur megadrive et qu’il est aussi bien réussi que celui là, mais direct je le prends. Je l’ai adoré tout comme celui juste avant le dragon trap’s
