The original voice guy for HT didn't die - he was actually Army Reserve and got called up, so they got Jon Bailey.. and let's be honest, Jon is awesome. A voice for Honest Game Trailers died - it had originally been Jon, then Brad Venable became the regular voice from August 2019 until his death in January 2021, when Jon was brought back in.

I saw this movie recently and it was a fun spectacle with good special effects. As soon as you analyze it further like Ryan usually does, there are lots of ridiculousness and outright stupid things going on with the plot or character decisions and whatnot. 😂

Ronald Emmerich is my favourite movie director of all time. His movies are incredibly stupid but they're so much fun to watch 😅 And also, come on, give the guy some points for creativity, he could have gone "Yeah, the moon falls because science", but he said "No, the moon is a structure created by aliens and it's gonna help our heroes!"

Creativity? This robotic swarm is a bastardized copy from Lem's "The invincible" published back in 1964 and the idea of the moon as an artificial structure built by aliens so old that it became it's own trope decades ago. If anything, Lem's swarm was truly terrifying and fighting it was utterly pointless at a time where computers where in their infancy and AI wasn't even a thing, while this guy wasted its potential because all he needed for this ** movie was "bad aliens". You could replace them with an evil goo or a sentient mushroom and very little (if anything) will change in the plot.

@@Timmycoo Yes. Im not sure about the english translations, but it was pretty good in my native language, albeit a little in the short side. The basic premise is that earth lost contact with their most advanced spaceship (not just technologically advanced, but with enough firepower to destroy a star system) in a weird planet, so they send a second one to investigate and neutralize the threat if necessary. What they found.. well, you will have to see by yourself. Bear in mind that this was proper old school SF, so Lem was more concerned about exploring an interesting scenario from multiple perspectives than todays brain dead, high adrenaline space operas.

They can just make it a simple movie about moonfall -they saw moon falling -realize that it's not the moon but the nano swarm imitate the shape of the moon falling to earth unable to keep it's shape. -then the US send a jet fighter to attack the swarm but the lingering nano machine imitate the shape of the fighter jet and went on destroying the ship. -protagonist is a former astrologist trying to deduce the existence of nano machine that he found out that they are born from the fire pollution and all the smoke that went up created a magnetic link between a steel and smoke while under the guidance of the moon phase. - bla bla bla the ancient past also experience something before and it turned the entire civilization into nothingness. - Then a CHINA guy (need to kiss their ass) found out about the reaction time between the swarm and used a field made of magnetic force to bait the swarm and trapped them but then failed and the human around the US almost wiped out . then part 2 for sequel.

once time, 7 or 8 years ago, I had a dream of the moon being hit by a meteorite that caused it to deviate its trajectory, causing earthquakes and tidal waves, and large landslides, the moon looked incredibly large, us the ordinary people, we didn't know if the moon would fall or if it would simply have a closer trajectory to the earth. Another problem that arose was a kind of dust or golden germ that eats away at the skin and flesh of living beings, leaving golden statues whose last moment portrayed was of agony. Without a doubt this movie is silly but it is incredible that feeling of oppression that the moon can give when it looks very big and affects gravity, a beautiful oppression.

Yes, I saw this movie. It's a Roland Emmerich movie, how could I not. I went in knowing what to expect...ridiculous idiocy and I got it in spades. :D :D :D It's a dumb movie. I still had fun. I even saw it for free on IMAX, so I saw the massive scope of insanity. It's like any other Emmerich film. First off, throw logic and common sense out the window, then come up with a world-ending scenario, add a few adult characters we might care about a bit played by recognizable actors, add great CGI (for the most part) splosin scenes as you destroy the world, and lastly have some semblance of a plot, maybe, that saves the Earth, mostly. I agree you should wait till it's free for you to watch. And as long as you know what to expect, you should have a fun time with this bad, stupid fun film. Literally, just say this hot mess of a movie. CinemaSins and Honest Trailers will have a field day tearing this thing apart. The effects were surprisingly decent but the plot and acting leave a lot to be desired. If ever a movie deserved a Razzie award nomination it's this one. I've read that the director wrote this as a trilogy, good luck with that.
