I’m 33, virgin, and and still waiting for God to send me a husband but omg it can be so hard. Especially when you are surrounded by men. It’s not easy. I live with my mom and her husband and there is another guy that lives in the basement(my moms client). I think as long as you focus on other things like hobbies, work, or something like that it should keep your mind preoccupied and off of sex.

This was great Sis, this year makes 6 years for me as well. You made a great point... when obedient to his word, and sacrifice, that sex with your spouse will be the best. All of this is real talk; I did not have strength to walk fully in purity (including masturbation) until I had the Holy Spirit. He did it, Gods Spirit helped me too. If your trying to do it in your own strength, because you really do want to live for God; that will not be enough. YOU need the Holy Spirit 1st, next totally agreed, you need boundaries. People boundaries and entertainment (music, movies, tv, Facebook, KZbin, etc.) boundaries. You know what things turn you on, you know (should know or learn) your sexual triggers. Love this truth thank you!

I think she made a great point. Get with people who believe the same way. I accepted so much, but God showed me how not to use my words to tie me to a certain person. That I thought I wanted. Don't give your power of away in your words like (I can't live with him, I think he is my husband or he called so he must be this or that). Never assume with God. Stop, pray, listen and check your peace. Tell God I only want your perfect will for my life. Acknowledge God in all your ways. 🤗

I've been praying and asking God for strength which is well. On the other hand, sometimes I'm thinking to myself "Lord, when are you going to send my Future husband but now you know what I don't even feel like asking or praying about that anymore." I will be turning 30 next month and I am just now beginning my walk of celibacy. Same reasons as you Alyssa, I am finally tired of giving my body to all the wrong dudes ; like you said being young & dumb behavior. I am experiencing the same doubts right now of not being sure if I can really do this. .. but after watching this video & hearing you mention that people over 30 practicing celibacy as a commitment to God really does exist (Because in today's time it feels like don't nobody do that)& how our body will adapt (because at the beginning man it feels impossible to do)and oh my goodness TEMPTATION was everything I needed to hear. Beautiful video, I'm definitely waiting. And all because I love Jesus too much, the value He's placed on me is so much, I can't think of any other way. Temptations are definitely everywhere! I find that not being in a romantic relationship pre maturely has saved me from a lot of these temptations. I'm learning to be ok being 22 with no boo, just me, myself and Jesus! And when I'm ready for marriage and I'm in a relationship, it'll take another level of grace and boundaries to keep us waiting. But none of that scares me really, to be scared to fall into sin is definitely the way down that route. Forget about falling and pursue the higher calling. In the kingdom we pursue to flee!

At 6:40 when you kept repeating that you felt free it made me think of the hymn with the line "there's no condemnation in my soul today". I think that is what I will feel once I am married. No condemnation and total freedom to have sex the way God intended.
