Food part was the best , I actually giggled and wanted you to keep branding more food

Hahaha maybe I should start a second channel solely based on branding food. Would be super niche that’s for sure Thanks for the laugh Nobody 😄

I just received my iron from Gearheart. My experience was like yours, excellent. Watching your video I am bummed I didn’t order the deeper cut stamp that can be used on leather and food. I could go for a branded taco right now. Thanks for the video 👍

I couldn’t help but notice the “CV” in your logo looks very similar to the logo for my old Boy Scout camp Cedar Valley (PTR) in Arkansas. The camp is no longer owned by BSA. Just wondering if you might have camped there in years past? The logo brought back some great memories.

Thank you for the review , I am thinking of getting one of these (electric version), and appreciate your time in sharing this with us.

If I had to do it all over again, budget willing, I would go the electrically heated route too!

Do you ever get fire scale build up? If so, can you suggest how to avoid?

Is there a reason other than cost that you didn't select the brass stamp? How is yours holding up now in late 2021?

Good review ! how did you design your logo. A particular program ? cheers
@Craftswright4 жыл бұрын
I usually design in Illustrator but there are several good vector alternatives out there from what I understand

@@craigwesson1788 If you can't afford Adobe Illustrator, look into Affinity Designer. It's $50 and does 90% what Illustrator can do. affinity.serif.com/en-us/designer/

I came over from the MFP fb group! Great video I am also in the market for a brand, I think I'm going to splurge on an electric one to simplify the heating process
@Craftswright5 жыл бұрын
If I had the funds in the budget at the time, I would have done the same thing. Had a batch of product to go out to a client by a deadline though so it was either no brand, or get the torch to brand my work. I wonder how fast the electric heats up? I’ve also considered converting this to electric at some point in the future.

Good job. I was able to make one that works on 12 volts

The torch leave a little bit of black residue on the iron which helps the burn stand out.

Hadn't thought of that, good call!

I think the hot plate took so long because you were heating only the portions of the brand that were touching the hot plate. As such there was not enough metal that was really hot and the brand cooled down very quickly leaving a poor quality burn. When using the torch, you heat both the portions of the brand touching were touching the hot plate plus all of the background metal. Since the entire block of metal was hot, it retained its heat while burning the material.

Great video, but if you're gonna do a voice-over that doesn't match your lips you should go all-in and put subtitles at the bottom like the old kung-fu movies lol lmao
