Just started the second part of the guide and geeked out watching the intro. I'm at the point where I'd pay you 10 pounds to make a dark elf guide like this . Keep up the good work and I hope that you give in and create another great vid amongst your already extensive archive.

I'm seriously considering a venture into this, but it needs to be a good standard.Honestly glad you're enjoying it!

This guide is golden! probably is also valid for a ton of teams that are also mobile, other elves, hummies, kislev, skaven etc. 2 turn td is something sooner or later is going to happen. Great guide mate! a ton of time waiting but totally worthy :P

It's made me think that actually some of what is here actually crosses into 'general tactics' rather than race specific, I'll be doing much more overall strategy stuff from now on.

14:42 I don't know many experienced players that would leave that gap on the scrum line so open. Especially when faced with Elves.
@AndyDavoBloodBowl5 жыл бұрын
not sure I follow? this is a defensive setup at 14:42
@odgeUK5 жыл бұрын
The offensive strategy at 09:40 is difficult against Orks as pushing back a scrimmage of Black Orks can feel impenatrable.
@AndyDavoBloodBowl5 жыл бұрын
Thats a fair point, but you could then assume that the guy that I blitz is only STR3. He can then be pushed out of the way and it opens a diagonal to run everyone through.
@15rawdogg4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for directing me to this video Andy. Really helpful. Looking forward to applying lots of this myself. I commented on one of your CCL woody vids, specifically asking about the difference between column defence and chevron defence. From watching this my understanding is that they’re pretty interchangeable. Is that fair or is one better than the other in some scenarios?
@AndyDavoBloodBowl4 жыл бұрын
kinda do the same job, depends on opponent - think about what you're trying to achieve then pretend your the opponent and try and beat it. if you beat one easily and one not so easily, you know which one to pick.
@Darkthoughts-z7r4 жыл бұрын
I’m assuming these offensive setups will work fine( or only somewhat worse) on with a kislev team?

In the far more lilkely scenario where you don't have 11 elfs... what do you factor in to the "can i keep screening?" vs "do i have to try and force something?" question?
@AndyDavoBloodBowl5 жыл бұрын
Matt, you just nailed, for me, the major part missing from this guide. Some of the things that go thru my head; 1. Turn - how much longer do I need to hold out? 2. Current score and score if they score - will I be level/ahead? 3. Will I get a chance to 1 turn to alter the result? 4. Will the team be hurt more if I push- is this result worth more than results in the next few games 5. Probability of a ball recovery vs the above. Bit of a long answer but also the bare bones, hope it helped

@matthewgough64463 жыл бұрын
On the offensive plays you show, all the opponents defence are in the middle. No coach would leave their flanks exposed. Dwarfs, Orc and Khemri would close them off with tackle zones.
@AndyDavoBloodBowl3 жыл бұрын
If they move from the middle to a flank, then they are by definition, spread out - poking a hole and flooding should be easy enough?
@matthewgough64463 жыл бұрын
I meant that, if they set up in spread out initially with well place tackle zones. And on the wings they had orcs having ST4 or Khemri ST5 players. Getting a 2 dice block is virtually impossible. Making puching a hole through extremely difficult, in my experience.

Andy, great guide! Keep them coming. Quick question: I have a 1 wardancer, 3 catcher, 1 thrower (leader), 1 treeman, 5 lineman (1 journeyman) roster with no rerolls (league play). I have 100k in the bank. Should I save to replace the dead wardancer or get the first reroll immediately?
@AndyDavoBloodBowl5 жыл бұрын
The question to actually answer is this: What will give you the most on pitch gain? I have not seen you play so can't answer. For me, i would want the RR as I would muddle through with 1 WD for a while while saving to get 2 RR total. All this of course is dependent on you having an apoth (not listed), if no apoth, get one imo to prevent further player losses.
@rogerbartels56905 жыл бұрын
@@AndyDavoBloodBowl Sorry, I do have an apothecary.
@AndyDavoBloodBowl5 жыл бұрын
@@rogerbartels5690 good :) Then it's the question above. I think i'd want the RR - it adds more safety net.
