I don't like Gene Messer videos to much, he for gets and talks to much, lol . Sharon myart, I haven't watched her videos yet. Sometimes there are some videos you just don't like. They maybe good, but something about them you just don't enjoy. I tried to cat her a wood spirit in maple, it turned out okay, but it took for ever.

I found Kevin Coates earlier this week as well. His pieces are very impressive and look so simple. Though I must say your videos are much more beneficial to someone new to the craft ( 4 days in) like myself. Thank you again for the great content!

I’m a saddle maker but not limited to making saddles. When people watch me turn out a belt knife holder, belt or ax case, they are always impressed, (thanks Dad for sharing the art!) that I can take raw material and create a useful and beautiful product; watching you, I now know how they feel about what I can do! Thank you so much for sharing your art, passion and skills, you Are a great teacher... thanks to you, my new problem now is, every tree, woodpile and discarded pallet I see, is crying out to-be whittled into something... and my leather bench is missing me🤣 Thanks for sharing and for your efforts 🙏

Shoot, I thought it would be great to carve out a little person in an hour and eight minutes. Well, I'm now 18 minutes into your video and have rewound over and over while carving to the extent of over two hours (includes stropping). I figure I'll be here for another 5.5 hours to finish up.
