Guys, let me know if you also got this amazing tool! It's a gamechanger!

Personally, I use only hand tools right now. I'll be doing some serious carving when I retire. Good power tools seem like a good investment, since currency can't hold it's value reliably :s Edit: that IS some next level carving! I'm definitely getting it sooner or later :)

Hi Jonas! Thank you for a really nice video 👍 why did you choose this hollowing tool before any other on the market? I’m doing my research before I decide myself what to buy. Have a nice one!

Hi Jonas, on behalf of Woodcut Tools thank you for producing this video and sharing. Really nice to see this hollow form project in Elm. We are happy that you are enjoying your Woodcut Pro Forme Tools. Please let us know if you need any support. Best regards Dan

You're just so very welcome Dan! It was fun to make and what a pleasure to use the Pro Forme. I've already ordered another handle, for more control. There will be bigger and small projects in the future, for sure! Thanks again, I'll just use the red phone with it's direct line to Jen, hah! All the best from Denmark! - Jonas

Hi Jonas, the video is a good metaphor for your name and the whale. Congratulations for your work. Luís from the "warmth" of Spain.

So since you turned it green, what’s your process for drying it and keeping it from cracking and warping terribly?

Nice! But what is the plastic foil for? It doesn't dry when fully closed, does it?

Can really appreciate the effort and work that goes into your pieces, I'd be terrified I've had a small piece catch and fuck me I shit a brick. Awesome work as ever 👌

Hi Jonas, I also use the ProForme. However I add an extension to the handle. This will stabilize the tool even more. In a course from Phil Irons, I learned how to cut in a continuous motion, have a look at his hollowing videos, you will then know what I mean.

Hello Peter! Yeah, I already ordered the extra handle.. that really help received all the tension in your arms and wrists. I’m really looking forward to it. I’m following him on Instagram but I need to watch more of his techniques for sure. Thanks for your comment ;)

How thick did you turn it to? Is your intent to remount it and true it up?
@formgjortbyJonasAls3 жыл бұрын
Hello Steven! It ended up at around 10 mm in the sides and base a bit thicker. I might make a 3-4 small feet out of that when it's done. No, i like the uneven form a lot!
