It’s very late and I’m chilling to the gentle tones Sam and soothing music backed with stunning photography, then I hear my name and see an absolutely stunning triptych. I really enjoyed as always Sam. Thank you for the mention😍👍

Ah thank you very much Mali! It’s always nice to get a comment about my music 😉! Although it drives me mad personally, I need to record some more tracks at some point! 😁 I was very much inspired by your triptychs for this, it’s a great way of presenting multiple images and I think it worked really well, thank you for the inspiration! Very soothing to watch, love the shot at 5-45ish and the triptych works well.

Thank you very much Andrew, that image at 5:45 was my favourite too I think. I have to credit Mali Davies for the idea of doing a triptych, I thought it was a much better way of showcasing three very similar images! Sam.

Nice vlog you captured some great woodland images there. The rain creates a fantastic atmospheric look. I always like to use my cpl in wet woodlands it brings out all the texture 👍

Sam...What beautiful conditions and absolutely gorgeous images! Just going for a section of the oak lost nothing of its character and added a sense of mystery. Great work my friend.

Thank you very much Julian! I think I have probably obtained all of the compositions available now at this short stretch of woodland, so I'm looking forward to a change in the seasons. By the way, apologies again for the slow reply to your email, I did check your website since you updated it and it's looking great! ;) S

Some cracking images Sam, fabulous conditions and you certainly made the best of them, think tyhe 1st image was my fave. I have been vsiiting some woodss locally of late but most, if not all are based on the side of a hill. That makes for not only having to put some effort in togetting them but trees are invariably poiting in weird directions - oh for a nice flat woodland..lol. Enjoyed this mate , thanks for sharing. atb Alan

Thanks Alan! I saw that tree that you posted on FB, looked amazing! It must be truly ancient. I think the climb was probably worth it, and who doesn't love a wonky tree?! We are a bit spoiled here though, I can see the wood where I made this video from my front door, although you can't access much of it so I think I've found most of the possible images here. Looking forward to Autumn though! S.

The mist makes all the difference we’ve also had some great conditions for woodland shots near me, really pleased with how they came out. I love the last portrait image really shows the character of the tree.

Hi David, I just had to go and check your instagram, really like that image with the path running through the trees! The mist really does make a huge difference, it was nice that it stayed around on this morning so I wasn't too rushed! Thanks for watching, Sam.

That looked like a great misty morning. I also like looking through the eyepiece to frame up compositions, that could be from having a DSLR for so long without an LCD screen that was the only option - I now have the EOS R but still prefer looking through the eye piece.
@BosePhotography
@BosePhotography 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Russ, yes I definitely prefer using the eyepiece, I find it much easier to cut everything else out of my periphery vision and form the image without any distractions. I think I have a bit of a thing against staring at digital screens as well! We're likely to be upgrading to a mirrorless camera ourselves soon though so I hope I will be able to get used to an EVF quickly. I've looked through a friend's EOS-R and I liked it a lot so I'm sure it will be fine! Sam.

Lovely vlog and, and a great tryptych, I also love the music, could you tell me what it is please?
@BosePhotography
@BosePhotography 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, thank you very much, the music is actually my own, so it's always nice to receive some good feedback on it! Music was my main 'expensive' hobby before we took up photography! I have a few tracks that I have recorded specifically to use as backing to the videos so I'm afraid they aren't published anywhere else, but perhaps I will get around to doing something with them at some point. S.

Big fan of the square crop :) Where is Hannah and the wildlife though 😁
@BosePhotography
@BosePhotography 4 жыл бұрын
Haha, thanks Joe! Hannah was just criticising me as I've suggested one of her square crops would work better as a 4x5 in the past and then I went and filled my video with them! I think she was busy at work actually when I made this! 😁
