I just did a review video of my new Grizzly table saw and someone asked me if I would check the blade with a saw gauge. This beauty just arrived... can't wait to try it out!

I especially like that this tool tracks center of miter. Also on some saws you might need gauge plunger extension and best use two closer notches for best stability in movement.

I have a problem with that method of checking the fence... if the track that the fence rests against is off by a little bit, it will be amplified once you move the fence to the far end. The problem is i havent found a better method. I also found that the SawStop blade that my saw came with is not flat. It is cupped by nearly 10 thousandths.

In that case you need to measure . Basically its only as accurate as your fence in movement.

You're supposed to rotate the blade and check the same spot on the blade at the other side.
