I had a warranty issue with a TS-600 which was dealt with promptly & professionally by Woodpeckers. This is a remarkably useful precision tool, beautifully made & easy to use.

Check out what's called a Long Point Pencil Sharpener. The most common one is made by a company called Kum (no, I didn't make that up), and they also make the same thing licensed under different brand names (Blackwing, etc.). It's a two-stage sharpener, where the first stage only removes the wood... leaving you with the lead in the middle untouched. Then you can sharpen the lead in the second stage, or shape it however you like with a knife or whatever.

Allen thank you, I went to their site and they actually have a few different options for various lengths of sharpness. I decided on an electric sharpener I think it should work out fine.

You missed the rubbery Router mat for work holding, its specially useful if you need to move a long board to get best access for marking, it just rolls up and can be tossed in a box/drawer/corner.

Hey Jeff, I watched your video because I’m considering buying the 24” T-square. It looks awesome. I picked up a 0.9 mm pencil and it works great with my other woodpeck rules. I also got a book keeper’s eraser, its a new favorite. I never new they existed, please thank your wife for sharing that one. Cheers!

I worked as a draftsman and I used the same eraser as your wife. It was great to work with.

Thanks Jeff for another excellent video. I have the inch versions and really like them for various sizes of plywood. For those of us who also work in metric sometimes, can I suggest that Woodpeckers make a 300mm version in addition to the 600mm. That 12”/300mm size is very handy when you don’t need the full sized 24”/600mm or 32” lengths.

I really wish I could afford any of your measuring tools. I've been watching all my favorite woodworkers on YT using them, and then getting frustrated with all mine. LOL

My first Woodpeckers tool was my TS-24 and it is still my favorite, because I am a baby woodworkers who uses a lot of plywood. Thank you for the video.

I use this rule, the regular 12 inch rule, and the 4 inch saddle square every day I am out in the shop. My only challenge is on veneered plywood. The sometimes rough surface breaks a lot of lead. The only change I would like is a version of these rules in stainless steel. Why? Because I am old and my vision isn't as good as it was, and for some reason I can see dark rule lines against a lighter background. My favorite is black against yellow. Now I know that that isn't going to happen, but I think it is an interesting phenomenon for your R&D guys to be aware of. These are fantastic tools and are my favorite Woodpecker tools by far. They are worth the price and I highly recommend them. Thanks, and Stay Safe Jeff!

Hey Grumpy, I just ordered a 4" saddle square myself. The saddle square will replace an inexpensive multiuse saddle square of sorts I've been using that works but is cumbersome. I'm looking to keep it in my apron, because like you, I seem to you a saddle type square a lot. 😎

Wish they had a stainless model. bend a corner over on your double sided tape before sticking it down. Makes peeling the backing off a snap.

Just ordered the TS-600. I zoomed in and the bigger holes seem to be on 32mm centers which is awesome. Just curious are they also 1/4” holes? I want to get a shelf-pin drill bit that is 5mm for use as deilling for shelf-pin holes (vertically) and also for drawer slides to use the 5mm system screws.

As always, wonderful information. Woodpeckers have a variety of measuring tools. Your guidance on tool selection is always helpful. Given how many measuring tools Woodpeckers makes, could you do a Deep Dive on the combination of measuring tools you would recommend for our shop?

Hey Jeff, Is that a Mobius + Ruppert (M+R) Pencil Sharpener? If so, is it a model 0604 or 0610 or other? Thanks!

Jeff, are the large holes on the 600 on 32mm centers? How long is the base and is it adequate for squaring an end of a panel?

Great, what type of material do you use for the Black Work Bench Top ?. Please
@WoodpeckersLLC3 жыл бұрын
Art, it is 1" thick Baltic Birch plywood with black micro-dot laminate on both sides. It's the material we use to make our new DP-PRO Drill Press Tables.

Unfortunately always sold out in the Netherlands, possibly back in stock in a year…😢 Ordering in the US is only possible with absurdly high shipping costs.
@julianniemeyer16553 жыл бұрын
The problem is the EU import duties and the EU VAT to be charged on the item cost and the shipping, then the fees of the shipping company to collect the fees.
Where are you located?? I am in Akron, Ohio. I would like to tour your factory.
