Hey guys, thanks for checking out these iconic John Petrucci riffs with me. What was up with the green frames on my transitions?! Did KZbin try to momentarily pass my video thru the matrix?! 😂

I was a big Petrucci and Dream Theater fan as a teenager. Still today, I think Petrucci is one of the best at writing great guitar solos, from melodic and hooky solos to full-blown, but still interesting shredfest. He might not be the best, and the most interesting improvisator, but his influence on today's guitar community is huge.

Man your right hand seems so relaxed. Looks effortless even though I know you've put in a ton of time on it. Thanks for the inspiration.

ANOTHER HONORABLE MENTION!! ...And Petrucci's greatest solo ever - *The Spirit Carries On!* Unreal, major scale, feel, hooks, tone, passion etc. Check it out! Also my buddy G used to say Petrucci's guitar tone on Train of Thought was "dryer than Papaws elbows"! LOL

well hey there Andy dude!! I know you can't answer every comment........but man dude........ you are one of a select few that I KNOW gets it. Just if I ask about a certain tone from let's say .........a DIEZEL? I've been thinking about their PAUL amp you actually tried at NAMM? I believe it was NAMM......anyway I like to get the straight forward tones that honestly you achieve and desire pretty much like most of us shred meets everything in between dudes. I ask mainly because I've never played any DIEZEL amp but know they are their own thing. Thank you if you get to this Andy, and BLESS YOU BRO!!!!!!
